Mixon was struck twice by the girl

He hit her back like a man but I don't see it as worse than Rice

ps- I don't think he is in Elliott's class

Ray Rice was hit first too. Twice even. Often times these "victims" are the initial attackers.

He'll get drafted... probably mid rounds. As an OU alum I want nothing to do with him. Sometimes on-field success isn't worth it.

Some things are just unforgivable.

I hate to punish the kid for the rest of his life because of that moment but at the same time I don't want him on our team and I can't imagine any fan want him on their team.

I don't believe that no team will draft him. Someone will.

If its true he is getting a first round grade from someone then great. Let them draft him and push someone down to us. To be honest wouldn't surprise me to see Seattle draft him. No one said a word when they drafted Frank Clark. They would probably praise Pete Carroll for taking a chance on a young man that simply made a mistake and just needs some guidance. The same young man that would be looked at as the worst human being since Hitler if Cowboys drafted him at all.

I think all teams will pass on him in the draft. Only way I see him being drafted is if he pledges to donate 1/2 of his future NFL earnings and a percentage of his free time to a charity helping abused women. 1/2 of several million is a lot better than 100% of 0. If I were his agent, that is what I would advise. It might work.

I must've missed that..... I thought she was coming towards Rice but didn't hit him yet...... either way she was his fiance and not some random woman

It is tough but I can't have a Zero Tolerance Policy..........I end up being a hypocrite too often

My rule is if they are eligible to play in the NFL then they can play for DAL

Every team has had DV, DUIs, PEDs, drug abusers, violent offenders and more

You can't be half pregnant.... we pass on guys like Frank Clark, Tyreek Hill and T Mathieu but we sign GHardy, RGregory and RMcClain and bring back Josh Brent

Oh well that makes it okay then.

She hit him twice. He knocked her out in retaliation. He's now the devil and she's an angel.

I understand that point of view.

I just don't want Dallas to be the team that picks him mainly because the media will never let it go if he were a Cowboy.

We can have 52 good guys on our roster and 1 Joe Mixon just ruins the entire perception of what the Cowboys are really about.

He's a NFL lightning rod from day 1. Dallas needs to let some other team deal with the headache because for whatever team he gets drafted by the headache won't last nearly as long.

A team like New England should draft him because they will get a free pass for drafting a guy like that.

That is what Greg Hardy should have done even though I think the girl set him up.

I'm fine with drafting them in the 4th or later but I don't like taking big risks in the top 3 rounds. Also the media won't push the issue as much with later round guys.

The Cowboys have had some bottom of the roster guys that had problematic backgrounds but it got very little media coverage. That DL from the Wade era had done something fairly bad but it got almost no media coverage. There have been others.

I would be fine with a Tyreek Hill in the 5th.

I feel largely the same way. Both parties were drinking and doing dumb things, but he's a strong guy and hit a woman. It sucks this one mistake will define him for a long time, but it's his own fault.

He'll play in the league and if he was on the cowboys I would cheer for him just like I did when he was a sooner because I'm a fan of the team not the individuals, but I'd prefer to get guys I like off the field as well.

No team is going to take him in the first round. Book it.
He needed to return to back to OU, refine his reputation, volunteer with a domestic violence awareness program then enter the draft in 2018. He likely would have redeemed himself and possibly warranted a first-round pick.

I doubt he goes before round five. And the Cleveland Browns need to take him, not the Cowboys.

The story with us would be ... "The Dallas Cowboys select another woman abuser" and then somehow the story will include Greg Hardy. No thank you.

No offense but that's some good stuff you are smoking! J/k. What you are saying is probably outside the realm of possibility.
