I said in another thread .. I don't think anyone will offer him a starting job. He'll have to take a backup job somewhere. His ties to Jason Garrett and Jerry's love of big names probably makes him the favorite to be the backup here, IMHO.

I think he's head and shoulders above the other names I've heard mentioned for the backup position. I'd jump to add him to our team.

His performance is about even with these backups and the real benefit is that he is still young. So take it for what it's worth. I'd be doing backflips if this happend. He's young, knows Garrett's offense I imagine, and has experience as a starting QB in the league. I think if Romo were to ever go down, Harrington wouldn't embarress himself. Plus he'd have more tools to work with than he's had in most stops. Excellent back-up, IMO.

I wouldn't be at all surprised, and I wouldn't be against it either.
I always thought it was strange how quickly everyone jumped off of the Harrington bandwagon, but they stayed on David Carr's much longer? Of course, now a lot of people are sick of both of them...
I always thought that both of those guys were good prospects. They needed coaching, and they needed more help around them. Neither one of them ever got it, and it probably ruined them both to some extent.
I do believe that Harrington could be a nice backup though. I don't see how there is anyone else out there who is a much better candidate.
