John Clayton was talking about Hatcher and said Seattle isnt an option now and its really down to the Raiders or Titans. Said Hatch is looking to get $4-4.5 million per year. If he doesnt get signed in this 2nd tier of FA's then he likely falls to the $3 million range or less.

If Tenn doesnt offer him a great deal, and if he doesnt just go to the Raiders strictly for the $$$ . . . . . . . . . . . maybe he returns to Dallas for a doable deal?

At what $$$ point is he a good signing for us?

The more I think about it the more I lean towards just letting him go.

They've utterly decimated the defensive line of whatever talent it had to begin with...might as well go all out and rebuild from scratch.

I would pick him up to for a 3 year deal at that price. Something that makes it easy to cut him before the 3rd year, if necessary.

I would be fine if they let Hatch go, but bringing him back at that rate would certainly give them more flexibility in the draft and perhaps some veteran leadership on the line.

At that price, I keep him on a 3 year deal, setting it up to get away from the deal after 2 seasons.

I figured Hatcher wouldn't get much. All the things that we all talked about--age, production--other teams know as well.

Would love to have Hatcher back. 11 sacks as a DT. In this defense. Give him a couple year deal with good money and we don't invest too Much and he gets the $ still

Why not? It doesn't seem like that much more than we just signed McCLain and Mincey for.

I've heard that the Raider are having a hard time giving money away. Speculation is that they will drastically overpay some players just to reach the cap minimum.

They were getting ripped this morning on NFLN for have an unbelieveable amount of salary cap room and not spending any of it.
