in the league. Greg Ellis sure wore his arse out! I'm still watching the game in spurts and Ellis is flat out beating the guy. He had a couple missed opportunities on McNabb but Runyan sure had nothing to do with it. Ellis has plenty left in the tank.

Ellis was quite possibly our best defender that game. Something that should be said - if ellis beats Runyan and Bledsoe is there, Ellis gets another 2-3 sacks in that game. If Ellis beats Runyan and McNabb is there, you get two strikes down field - one to Baskett, one to Smith.

And I should note - that wasn't because McNabb was mobile. It's because he understands where to move in the pocket. All he did those plays was take a few steps forward.

Well Bedsoe did not have a pocket to "take a few steps forward".

I totally agree. I mentioned the play where Sheppard dropped a sure interception. He was looking at Glenn on the post. On the replay from behind the play, all he had to do was step up in the pocket and not only would he have not had his arm hit but he would've had his choice of Glenn on the post or Witten coming across the middle. There was pressure to his right but the protection was good, the pocket had been formed.

I'm not taking up for Bedsoe, I want to see ROmo.

However, if McNabb had taken as many hits as Bledsoe, you think he would have been accurate on those few plays? I don't think so, they should have ran the shotgun or somthing, that blitz was on him like stick on super glue.

yeah, I think the minute a qb starts feeling pressure that ain't there, it's time for him to sit down. David Carr has been killed over his career and when I do see him play he stands there in the pocket. Maybe it's because he's young and doesn't know any better.
