  • They knew Mazi couldn't play! Everyone knew! Yet they put their heads in the sand and went into ANOTHER year with this guy at maybe the most important position now in modern-day defenses. Instead of reacting to two recent years of horrible drafting, they as usual, hoped their draft picks could wing it.
  • They let this Micah Parsons contract situation turn into something so bad, we lost our BEST defender a week before the season started. This and the inability to recognize how bad we were at DT, if they could have been solved BEFORE the season began, this same Lions loss would mean nothing because I guarantee this team would have a much better record at this point.
  • They have spent three drafts on high picks named Tyler for that offensive line and we're STILL getting manhandled by the Lions. I'll let the All-22 Gurus point out where the failures were, but damn... how many draft picks do you have to spend to rebuild the line?
  • And Schotty, say what you want about his mistakes last night, but we all see he is a breath of fresh air in that locker room and provides some energy and accountability for this team's HC position that was missing. Yet, the Jones decided that even after that Green Bay Playoff collapse, just like Garrett, they should squeeze the juice box until the contract is over. SOMEONE should have been in place LAST YEAR taking this team in a new direction.
  • I'm not sure why I fool myself every year that the Jones Vision can possibly catch a break and work out for us. I look forward to the day when we finally hold accountability with the one person who has been here through all these bad playoff or regular season playoff mode losses. It's cold, but the Grim Reaper is the only one who can provide that now.

But Jerry won 2 more SBs this year without even going to the playoffs what more could anyone ask for. Two more Jones trophies will be added to the display at the star, rumor has it they are twice the size of a Lombardi trophy

They go next to the Pepsi logo in Jerry's trophy case with the "Best Marketing Owner of the Year" trophies. Or the other case with statues of Amari Cooper and Quinnen Williams in the trophy case entitled "Too Little, Too Late."

Jones’ Mismanagement – The Dak Reality

Fact: Dak cannot consistently carry a team into the playoffs on his own.

Fact: The salary cap makes it impossible to surround him with enough elite players to overcome that limitation.

Conclusion: Jerry Jones’ biggest mismanagement isn’t drafting Dak — it’s thinking he can keep buying enough talent around him to make the playoffs a reality.

Put simply: building a playoff team around Dak is like trying to build a rocket ship with only paperclips and duct tape — the intent is there, but physics (and the salary cap) aren’t on your side.

I will never defend Jerry Jones, but But I think last night's loss was more about the Cowboys coaching and preparation. The Lions were prepared for Dallas last night. They were in a must win game and played like it. Dallas came out flat and frankly looked a little disorganized. It just seems like other teams zero in on Dallas's weaknesses while Dallas doesn't seem to adjust to the other team's personnel as well.

Detroit had a good game plan. The hit Dallas where they are weak - underneath in the middle of the field and they hit 7 big plays. They went after the Cowboys rookie, Shavon Revel and he was nowhere near up to the task.

In the meantime, the Cowboys had an advantage with CeeDee and Pickens against the Lions CBs and struggled in the first half to take advantage of it. Of course Dak was getting hit all the time because Thomas and Steele weren't blocking. The Cowboys made a few killer mistakes and never looked like they had a shot at a take-away. Maybe one pass could have been intercepted when a Lions receiver feel down and Bland, who continues to disappoint, got 1 hand on it.

The Lions made big plays all night. 1st and 25? No problem. 2 passes for 35 yards and a first down later they are in scoring position. It was like that all night long.

Until Jerry is gone this team will win nothing of significance.
No NFCCG in 30 years does not happen for no reason.
We are held hostage by an owner who has been in over his head since Jimmy left.
It's sad that this once great franchise is now a bloated cash cow and not taken seriously by anyone.

This was always going to end like this. I just enjoyed the wins against KC and Philly. We were never A playoff team. Jerry sabotaged us before the season. He did just enough to get people talking about us again. Next year we'll be back around the rim.

The Cowboys are in the middle of a two year rebuild.

No one expected the playoffs this year. Anything above .500 would have made for a good season.

If that's what we have to tell ourselves.
  • Keeping McCarthy last year doesn't feel like a rebuild.
  • Waiting until Dak becomes the highest paid QB in the NFL doesn't feel like a rebuild.
  • Letting negotiations with the best pass rusher in the NFL go to hell doesn't feel like a rebuild.
  • Signing our two biggest offensive stars this years - GP and Javonte - on one year contracts isn't a rebuild either.

No.

Its like a first grade teacher and most of you guys are in the class at 30 years old.
