A Sedgwick County judge has ruled that former Dallas Cowboy and Wichita native, Joseph Randle will stand trial in a third case against him.
Judge Joe Kisner ruled Friday that there was enough evidence to send Randle to trial for threatening a jail guard while he was behind bars. Randle is also going to trial for allegedly hitting people with his car outside a party, and later, running from authorities.
“Now, whether your client actually meant that he was going to kill or not, I don’t think that’s relevant,” said Judge Kisner. “I think the issues is, did he intend to put fear into the deputy’s mind, and I think evidence supports that.”
The trial date for all three cases against Randle is set for September 19th.
Randle will be in Sumner County on August 25th for charges from his arrest at the Kansas Star Casino back in November.
