People, it wasn't the reach or even the fumble that got him in trouble. Garrett has been quoted several times now as stating he told Randle not to go over the top and Randle did anyway. Then he was defiant about it on the sideline and to the media.

Can we at least get the facts straight?

Can you even call what he did a jump? He looked like he had a tire tied to him...Walter Payton he is not.

Sad thing is that Randle is our best runningback right now. I'd rather have him out there than McFadden. At least Randle gives us an easy touch down or two to start the game.

I'm looking at Ball and Richardson this week.

I know it's not popular and that they're 'busts', but it's not like this guy isn't. At least both of them will probably do what they're told.

I think Ball may have been given up on a little quickly. He was hurt his rookie year, didn't have a great second year, and that was that. At least there's a possibility of Ball having something to show, Richardson is a proven commodity at this point, he's had enough opportunities.

It was interesting that Faulk basically called out his lack of intelligence as well when he said, that you don't take that cutback that early in the game. Run the play and get the 3 yards and then come back to it later when you really need it.

That sounds like a terrible strategy, but I guess I'm not a HOF RB

In assessing Ball, I'd have to look at the Denver offensive line too. It's not like any of the running backs are having great success, especially as a result if the line doing a great job.

And I personally give Richardson a great deal of slack for scheme fit, or lack thereof. He was a zone runner in college who was always matched up with a power scheme for his entire pro career.

I would look at both as nobody we have has asserted themselves and shown worthy of keeping the job.

Wait, wait! So you're telling me a touchdown is not a just a touchdown. No matter how you get it? No I'm not defending Randle that was dumb two weeks in a row. I've just heard many people say as long as they get the TD. That's what shows in stats right? Dumb.

How could a running back possibly think to do that?

It's implausible.

This guy has the intellect of a door knob.

The loss of Callahan and Murray are making this line look mediocre, along with some of them playing poorly (Doug Free)

They certainly aren't playing the best as unit right now.
That group resides in Cincinnati.

It seemed to not impress some of his teammates too. Lawrence didn't look too pleased and said something that Randle fired back at him. And I saw someone tweeted during the game that Witten had something to say to Randle harshly on the sideline as well.

What makes it even worse is if the coaching staff told him just days ago to not do that and he did it anyway? What a ******* bum.

Randle is a blithering idiot and the fact that they continue to try and mentor him into a starting feature NFL back is laughable to say the least.

Welcome to the NFL son. Now sit back and let us teach you how to be reliable.

The play was bad enough, in and of itself. But what irked me even more was he actually took that risk on FIRST DOWN ON THE 1.

Look, if its' near the end of the game, it's 4th down, and your team is down by > 3 points...yes...if the play is stuffed and the only option is try to go over the top, then go for it.
None of that applied here.

How JG handles this will say a lot about him as a coach. They should cut or bench Randle and find someone else.

Tough spot as we just lost a RB and have McFadden who had a long history of injury and Michael who doesn't appear up to speed on the playbook yet.

Bryce Brown is better than both those guys. But he's a headcase. Maybe bring in another old guy, in Jackson.

Bryce Brown also likes to put the ball on the carpet, I believe.
