Good afternoon friends and acquaintances,

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter holiday celebrating six more months of winter! You and I can use it in our hottest parts of the country.

That being said, I believe Josh Freeman is better than Tony Romo.

Romo recently signed a six year contract worth upwards of more than $108 with $55 guaranteed up front in his pocket.

Seeing the news that this made all over the newspapers, I hastenly thought of ways that the Pewter Pirates could ink up Josh Freeman for cheaper than that and have a simply better quarterback.

The numbers don't lie. Freeman's stats heavily outweighed those of Romo's against NFC Southern opponents. Production is key to success. Romo is on the cusp of greatness, however the years may have passed him by as he is now on the wrong side of 32 years old.

I remember when I was 32. My body starting breaking down like an old 82' Saturn. I started having double vision after drinking. I was tired after getting a full 3 hours of sleep each day and I became hungry when my mind told me so. These are all signs that age is creeping at you like a blind squirrel in a dark alleyway.

I also noticed that Romo did, in fact, marry a female not too long ago. They then were fruitful and multiplied. Those are two significant factors affecting Romo's play both off the field and when he's not playing.

Josh is also what I call clutch in clutch games. He is the lime to limelight. 4th quarter comebacks are old hat to this young man. He has that IT factor that you read about in the books about those that have the IT factor. Prototypical size, arm-strength, awareness (almost 81 in Madden), and accuracy are all tangibles that make up one of the elitest QB's in the NFL League.

For all of my friends here that are Cowboys fans, I hope that this signing works out for you, but I just heard Jamie Dukes on NFL Network...he said that Tony has come down with Romoitis or something. Hope that turns out alright.

Until next time, talk to you soon. Go Bucs.

Thoughts?

Maybe you should go lie down; you must have gotten a hold of some of last year's eggs.

howdy, welcome.

the two quarterbacks you mention are in different parts of their careers.

teams would evaluate differently based on where they were with the rest of their team.

most teams would probably take romo over freeman right now.

in several years when freeman is more experienced (unless he regresses, which happens quite often) and romo is finding it more difficult to move around, maybe freeman's value catches up and surpasses romo's, but right now, freeman is still rated lower than romo by most.

If TB folks think he's better right now, then that's awesome, good luck to Kevin Ogletree and the bucs this year.

Just minus the april part, typical Pittman comment.
