howdy, welcome.

the two quarterbacks you mention are in different parts of their careers.

teams would evaluate differently based on where they were with the rest of their team.

most teams would probably take romo over freeman right now.

in several years when freeman is more experienced (unless he regresses, which happens quite often) and romo is finding it more difficult to move around, maybe freeman's value catches up and surpasses romo's, but right now, freeman is still rated lower than romo by most.

If TB folks think he's better right now, then that's awesome, good luck to Kevin Ogletree and the bucs this year.

When Tony Romo and Josh Freeman last squared off the Cowboys kicked a field goal to go up two scores with 2:43 left in the game.

At that point Josh Freeman was 6/20 for 39 yards.

"NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Bucs are interested in Carson Palmer.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Palmer — who is on the verge of being traded to Arizona — had been "hoping" to land with the Bucs. We now know the interest is mutual. The Bucs have looked into almost every available quarterback this offseason, making it loud and clear their faith in Josh Freeman as a franchise QB is on life support."

Doesn't look like the Bucs share your sentiment. Good effort tho.

Josh Freeman hasn't yet set the Bucs on fire, and there are those in the Tampa market who wonder if he will ever.

That's better than a .400 average. If he played baseball, he would be headed to Canton.

I'm willing to concede, at this point, that Freeman is indeed a better baseball player than Romo.

The responses to his threads are almost as funny as the thread itself.

Well done, P42.

Freeman is better. I loved him in Driving Miss Daisy.

I think that what he meant. Any other shouts a single digit football IQ.

One thing the Pittman posts are always good for is separating the forum vets from the forum noobs. :laugh2:

Romo could take him in golf, though, and possibly basketball and soccer.

This is true, but it also separates people's ability to pick up on sarcasm/humor. The very first time I saw a Pittman post I LOLed.

Shawshank redemption was Freeman's best work. I mean the man was the narrator and a star in the same movie. That's like being able to talk in the 3rd person about yourself and it works.
