Actually.

Huff, 25, was pulled over for speeding over the Walt Whitman Bridge toward New Jersey at around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, when police found a gun, loaded magazine and less than 50 grams of marijuana. Huff was charged for unlawful possession of a weapon and for having hollow point bullets, as well as for the marijuana, a DUI, speeding and obstructed view for tinted windows.
Unlawful possession, hallow point bullets, marijuana, DUI, speeding, and illegally tinted windows.

It's always something with Huff. At least he didn't also cut his hand on some soup.

"I'm a professional athlete, what professional athlete doesn't have a gun?" Huff asked reporters. "I have a wife and I have a son at home. My job is to protect them at all costs, and my job is to protect myself as well even though I know I have security here, but I have to protect myself as well."

How incredibly stupid, how do some of these bozos make it through even 1 day of college. Maybe @ the next Eagles game we can see another Che wannabe taking a knee.

The Philadelphia Eagles have cut ties with Josh Huff.

The team announced Thursday they've released the receiver who was arrested earlier this week.

"First, I want to apologize to Mr. Lurie and his family, my coaches and teammates, and all Eagles fans," Huff said in a statement, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

"I'm sorry that any action by me brought negative light to this organization. I want to thank the Lurie Family, Howie, this community and the entire Eagles organization for the opportunity I've had for the past 3 years. Most important, I want to let the fans and community as a whole know that I understand the responsibility I have as a professional athlete, and I will take all measures necessary to correct mistakes I have made."

Huff was pulled over Tuesday morning for speeding on the Walt Whitman Bridge and charged with possession of an unloaded handgun (9mm) without a permit and a small amount of marijuana.

On Wednesday, coach Doug Pederson said Huff would play Sunday against the Giants.

A day later the team changed gears, releasing the 25-year-old.

Huff was a solid special teams performer but brought replacement-level talent to the passing game. He's caught 13 passes for 72 yards (5.5 average) and a touchdown this season. Huff ends his three-year stint with the Eagles compiling 48 receptions for 482 yards and four scores.

The guy was defiant and mouthy trying to defend himself for being a knucklehead.
Not a good look Mr Huff.

Yep. And it seems to me that his lack of understanding what he did and lack of contrition for it did him in. And his 'prepared statement' written by someone else was too little, too late.

Thats alot of little stuff that he needs to get on top of. The most concerning is the DUI. Needs to fix his tint, get a permit, toss the hollow points, and drive the speed limit.

Not condoning any of his actions. He needs to clean that up.

He is a heck of a return man. He could have left it loaded in Dallas with the hollow points and it would be a non issue.

I hope we sign him.

He has made statements in the about not liking the Cowboys si doubt he would want to sign here. I do not think he is better than Lucky as a retun man and have no interest in him. Plus he has a crappy attitude.

Uh huh. Explain the "unlicensed" part to us again? And who the DUI was protecting?

Absolutely ridiculous. Weed should be illegal and him having an unloaded weapon in his car should be illegal. Hollow point bullets are also not an issue.

NJ = Draconian state

Technically it is illegal federally, to have illegal drugs even weed and firearm together.

We were 4-12 last year...Jerry should put a waiver request in for him. He would give us short fields to work with quite often.
