Josh Norman and the Drug Test

He was aggravated after the game that he was told to provide a sample for a random drug test after the game......he said he left it all on the field and didn't feel like cooperating but he had to

My question is- does that mean Norman is in the Drug Program at Stage2?

I always read that random testing was done with at Training Camp and once a player passed he wasn't tested for the rest of the year......my only thinking was that this was for PEDs and they have to test for that in-season....any thoughts would be appreciated

Players are required to do drug tests before training camp...outside of that they can be subject to random drug tests at any point during the NFL season. Players in the program have more drug tests that are mandatory and happen with 24h notice so theu cannot be missed or evaded

It's not true

The NFL would be essentially underscoring it's drug test, if it said that as long as you pass your TC drug test, you can smoke pot and not have to worry all season. The NFL does random drug screens all season that test for everything from steriod abuse to weed.

The NFL off season is the only time you don't get randomly drug tested if you're not in the program already.

I just read the PDF from the NFLPA and the random drug tests during the season are for PEDs only....every week during the season and the playoffs 10 players will be selected for testing after the game...in the offseason players still may be tested up to 6 times for PEDs.....they also have to submit to an annual test at camp

The testing for substance abuse is just once a year unless they enter the intervention program....the there are 3 stages each with varying degrees of testing and punishments

it seems as though Norman was just one of the 10 Commanders selected for the weekly PED test
