The difference between us and the NFC East. All of our rivals made bold moves to improve their teams. We sat on our hands in free agency and drafted a redshirt second rounder. Our secondary needed an overhaul, and we re signed Mo and kept Carr instead. This is going to be a very frustrating year. As I've said before, this is not a playoff roster, even with a weak schedule. I hope that Jaylon recovers, Gregory and DLaw screw their heads on straight, and for the love of God, we commit some serious money to proven CBs. That is all

All I know is that when you spend cheaply at a position that you claimed was your biggest need, you can't sit there and be surprised that they turn out to be mediocre.

The DEs got abused in the run game (so did the DTs) and were pretty much non-existent in getting to the QB, especially late in the game when that's when you need to generate pressure.

Where I agree is that this defense is in serious need of talent. We can't act surprised when the unit we are trotting on the field are unable to get the other team off the field.

We came into the season with a terrible line, adequate-at-best-linebackers and a so-so secondary. We made almost no attempt to improve that side of the ball.

Eagles have been very aggressive with roster moves and it hasn't produced any more success than what the Cowboys have had and we have a better core group because of it.

On offense, sure. But the Eagles with guys like Fletcher Cox have a better core group of defenders.

Mayowa had more sacks than Vernon today.

Carr had a pick today....Giants CB had a facemask penalty.

Our 4th round qb out played Wentz today...whether the stats say that or not.

DEs that do not scare opposing teams mean your DT which are of higher talent get the brunt of the doubles and whams. How many times did they pull an OT to clear out the DT.
