This might mean they pass on guys like Rapp too.

I didn’t interpret it that way.

He said “rare qualities” and then defined it by describing a safety that can make plays on the ball and “bring the physical part of the game in terms of the tackling.”

I’m not Rapp’s biggest fan but I think it could be fairly argued he has special instincts and is certainly a physical player (same can be said of Abram).

If the Ohio game truly is an outlier and thrown out the window, I feel much better about the fit. That game showed off some red flags, but after doing some more digging around, that was by far his worst game due to some unfavorable conditions. Working off a 4 game sample size, that can skew things a bit. Still worried about his tackling technique/run support, but I'm softening my stance and I'm more open to him at #58 (But if CGJ is available they BETTER take him over Thornhill).
