I can't decide where I stand on this kid. One minute he's lighting Seattle up on Monday night, and the next he's plowing ahead for a yard at a time. He definately has the potential to be a great NFL back, but he's already shown a lack of durability. BP has also gotten into his head a little bit, and he hasn't responded too well apparently.

If we're going to be a legit Super Bowl contender we need JJ to at least go for 1300 +. So do you guys think that JJ will be the Cowboys running back for the next 10 years? Or if he was just a flash in the pan back who had a few good games?

Solidify the OLine and get a playmaker at receiver. That's all JJ needs. Defenses wouldn't be able to key on him every play and the OLine could actually do some blocking for him.

JJ will be fine...I like the Jones / Barber tandem...I can live with both sharing the load. I think Jones feels BArber on his heels though, so I expect a big year from him.

We had a solid deep threat last year with Glenn, and even when teams were dropping guys back into coverage he struggled to make the first guy miss and get into the secondary.

I agree big w/ you PF. I think JJ is feeling Barber nipping at his heels. This is a great thing. It will only push him harder to succeed. I expect a better year from JJ this year.

Poor kid tried to run last year. You cant blame him for the piss poor line play.

Remember when Jones said he wanted to rush for, I think, 1700 yards and 15 touchdowns or something along that degree. If only he lived up to those expectations.

Not to mention he was playing hurt for about 4 or 5 games, but then he started to break out...signs of the stud we drafted.

If we had had even a decent run blocking line he would have easily got 1200. Still almost got a thousand missing 3 games and with a putrid line.

I don't consider Glenn a gamebreaker.
What did you consider him the first 5 weeks of the season when he was a top 5 receiver?

The team is only as good as the weakest link. Receivers were not the problem, we have very good receivers. But if the QB cant stand up long enough to throw the ball, you would not consider any receiver a threat either. It all starts upfront.

He's way too concerned about fumbling so he runs like Christian Okoye.

Julius will be fine as soon as the Cowboys fix some of their other problems. IMO there was too much against Julius to get an accurate assessment (Injuries, OL play etc...).

Excellent points, experts and players say that high ankles sprain can be worse than a breakage, which is shocking to believe.
