What ever happened to him? Has he even had a 100 yard game this year? I know he basicaly was spotted 77 yards against New Orleans then got like 25 yards the rest of the game. He just runs into linemans a$$es or dives for 2 yards. No bounce in his step, vision, cutback, breakaway ability, nothing anymore. How can any back just shut it down so fast after such a great start to his career?

Julius has sucked the last 4 weeks. He has had 5 100 yard games this year. I expect Barber to start next week.

yeah, because MBIII and that 8 carries for 6 yds (thats SIX) in the last two games is really impressive

He only got 9 more carries in that Saints game and averaged over 4 yards a carry on those carries. He and Barber both had to avoid defenders in the back field against the Lions. That is on the o-line.

Hey,

I'm a huge Julius fan but his performance has been less than average and something needs to be done about that.

I agree...its called RUN BLOCKING

nobody could run with any success the way this OL is blocking right now

Let us take a moment to reminisce on what JJ used to do behind an Oline that opened huge gaping holes for him to run through.

Thanksgiving Day 2004

I don't know if he should stay or go. I just like the video. That was an exciting day. 150 yards rushing & 2 TDs for JJ on that day.

I don't believe that we have been "holding back" for the last two weeks, but I do think that one change we will see on Saturday is Barber as the feature back. He is the type of RB who can take over a game, but must get the carries, and gets better as he gets more carries. He is very similar to Ricky Williams, who was the same way. As the game went on, Ricky Williams got better and better.

That's my only real change I see coming. I think we feature Barber and hope he gets going like he has shown he can do in other instances. If we accomplish this, it shortens the game, takes the pressure off of Romo, and allows playaction to be more effective which should give Rmo better passing opportunities.

With Jones, we know what we get and that has shown to not be the answer.

Maybe, but we have to give the run a chance. I think Barber could do that if we just keep feeding him the ball. Jones just isn't going to do it.

our OLIne happened to him.

Can't keep picking on Jones. Barber started the 2nd half went out there and did nothing either. We could have Walter Peyton or Barry Sanders out there and it wouldn't matter b/c this OLine was getting WHOOPED and has been for the last few weeks..

Maybe, but I think the same thing applies to the Offensive Line. They seem to get better the more we run, especially behind Barber. We just don't stick to the run. I certainly can understand it with Jones running up the blockers butts.

Its amazing what Jones can do when the coaching staff decides to STICK WITH THE RUN.

Even though we have an o-line that can't do squat, when the OC stuck with the run, JJ made enough plays out of nothing that he gained over yards and I believe that he had 4 or 5 straight games over 100 yards.
