if we are going to beat philly. i live hear so i see the eagles all the time, and if you cant run against them then the games over because their secondary is amazing. another thing ive noticed is, phillys defense always plays HORRBILE on the first drive of the game. So if we get the ball first i think we must score on the first drive. All in all though, if our offensive line and julius dont get back to work, we are toast. He's gonna need a 150 yard 2 Td performance

I agree wholeheartedly, this really needs to be his breakout game, and its a tough task against that defense.

Id be happy with 100. and this is more of a grievance with our O-Line rather than JJ. Sure he doesnt seem as sharp as last year, but at the same time, he gets hit at or behind hte LOS alot.

Our OL/DL has to be nasty this game. Philly may not have a streak like we did on the skins, but they have owned us long enough and I would like to see our team come out and punch them in the mouth. I've had enough of the Iggles. If Jones can gain over 100 yards averaging 4+ yards a carry, I like our chances. If not, I think we are in for a long, long, day.

Philly will be suiting a practice squad DT this week. Injuries FA has weakend that position. Polite needs a breakout game along with the O-line, with a chance to shine.

We can push these guys around on line of scrimage this week. Here's to the good ole days of pounding the ball on a weakend D-line.

Having said that, watch BP finally open up the passing game.

If Cowboys expect to win Sunday then everyone needs to step up their game. I don't think Jones needs 150 and 2 TD for Dallas to win but I do think everyone has to pick up their game a notch.

your right, we should win that battle - our O Line against their DT's.

I am not sure about a specific yardage and TD count, but no question we have to run the ball succesfully.

No question.

Everyone has been talking about all sorts of issues about this team, but in my mind everything for the most part comes back to running the ball.

Playcalling, Passing Game, Pass Protection, Game control, Defense, TOP, etc...

We must run the ball to controll games and effectively execute our philosophy.

We must run the ball to impose our will on opponents.

Gurode helped open up some holes Sunday, I'd rather just stick with him at center and watch the bodies fly. I'd love to see LA crush Trotter since he's always in the middle.

No kidding AL Johnson is starting to irritate me. He got owned in the Oakland game.

that's going to be a tough task for Julius to do that well, Philly's run-blitz is major

and that starts with the offensive line, that's what really needs to step up, that run-blocking

Yhea, I think it is a combination of the Line and Julius.

No question the Line needs to get a better push, and open up some holes.

I am a huge Julius fan, huge! But I will say he is not running exactly the same. There have been some cut back lanes at times he just is not seeing.

He also is not making people miss in some situations he did last year.

I think if the Line starts playing better, and lets Julius get into a rythm, we will see last years Julius.

They will get it going, hopefully sooner than later.

I think Dorsett put it best, Julius is running scared, scared of fumbling the football, too much 2 hands on the football, instead of that careless way he just ran the football of his rookie year, last year, he just ran, notice his main struggles now, are with what Parcells wanted him to limit this year from last: fumbles (2 hands on the football all the time) and negative plays (just hit the pile, don't bounce it outside risking a negative play), don't get me wrong, that's damn good coaching, just now, like all 2nd year players who've been coached more than they were as rookies, he needs to get comfortable running that way, cuz we need the kid, and at the same time, the Oline needs to give him a chance
