Larry Johnsons style of running is a pleasure to watch. He is so patient, waits for his blocks and then makes his move. JJ could learn an awful lot from this guy. He better start doing something or this will be his last year in a Cowboy uniform.

Jones has almost nothing in common with Larry Johnson. He was a better RB when he was less patient.

If we ever ran Julius off tackle, or stretched the play to the sidelines, he might gain something from watching LJ. We don't, though. He (and every other back) ought to take note of how LT is always waiting for that cutback lane to open. Jones seems to ignore it.

yeah i know what you mean...but bill likes JJ,i think what will happen is MBIII will end up starting...JJ is looking for the ground way too much and that cost the team yards....MBIII runs more like LJ he can follow blocks but he's not shying away from contact

As BP has said MANY TIMES THIS YEAR: JJ IS RUNNING THE WAY I WANT HIM TO. So blame BP. Has he said anything else? PUt the blame in the right place. FOr all you gomers blaming JJ, has BP said anything negative about him at all?

I wonder if KC would have traded LJ to Dallas for ABryant back a few years ago?

Anyone remember that rumor?

Urban legend. I really doubt that KC wanted Bryant.

I absolutely agree with you, JJ is doing exactly what Parcells has coached him to do. If JJ has anything to worry about it's that Parcells hardly ever mentions him unless he's asked, then he gives some bland "he's doing a good job" type answer. Players Parcells really likes get needled and sometimes praised.

That's what I thought at first.

But LJ was in the "doghouse" for attitude and production behind Holmes. Bryant was doing very good that season in Dallas.

It really doesn't matter now but this was a "possible" trade that I think of once in awhile.

LJ is bigger than, in size and weight, than JJ. It is hard to compare the two, no coach would ask Westbrook, Bush, or Jones-Drew to play like LJ. They are smaller in size and they could use that to catch balls out of the backfield and they could use their quickness. That is the thing that might help JJ more, a few more screen passes to help get his game going.

Well if that is the case and BP does get rid of JJ, I hope that we get AP from Oklahoma.

So do you guys really think BP is just blowing smoke about JJ.

He had said many times in the past ,(when reporters were saying our running attack was not successful - avg 3-3,5 a carry) that he was happy with the running game.

JJ is rarely getting caught behind the line. BP seems to want a quick attack of the hole and if you burst through you attack the safeties, you don't go east and west, just North and South.

In summary - eliminate the nagative plays and take the 3-4 yrds instead of looking to break one every play.

Why is that so hard for people to accept? Like someone said, blame BP if you like but I think JJ is doing what he is expected to do.

Thanks, Alk. The JJ haters do not ever address what BP has said time and again. But then that does not fit with their agenda.
