Ugh, yes. Peterson is a top 3 pick when he's healthy. Marshawn Lynch is a Top 15 pick. Julius was a reach in the 2nd round. Julius wasn't anything more than average even in college.

AD is an upgrade. I don't know if Lynch is any better.

JJ's contract is up. Jerry said that a rookie could come in and play at a similar level, at the very least, for a lot cheaper than we would have to pay a "current" player whose contract is up. If we get AP or Lynch we don't lose much, and we won't be forced to pay JJ what he's going to demand.

yes, give JJ this year, then make the decision to resign him, or go after McFadden. There is no one in this draft that will be an upgrade. We will not get AD or Lynch, so why even speculate if they are better or not.
