Spike Lee Says Seahawks Signed Colin Kaepernick, Then Deletes Instagram Post

Filmmaker Spike Lee claimed on Instagram on Saturday that the Seattle Seahawks had signed Colin Kaepernick but then deleted the post, according to Dan Gartland of SI.com.

Coleman Crawford of SB Nation shared a screenshot of Lee's post:

lol, as for Spike saying..."the truth is on your side." Everyone has their own truth. One's truth might not be anothers.

It isn't common sense, it is politics. And its "everyone is stupid but me" politics.

It's absolutely common sense, but that's the rub, not everyone has it. It's politicized by the folks who lack it. It should be a very cut and dry issue of "hey this is really bad and very obviously needs immediate and total rectifying" but the push back and naïveté forces the conversation to a more systemic, all encompassing direction that tends to overtake the very basic, sensible point

Would be a great signing and insurance policy as long as he is fine being a backup. He is so much better than Moore.

Side distractions are directly proportional to ability, i.e., the greater a player's ability, the greater the tolerance for a player's side distraction.
T.O. came with a lot of side distractions. But because he had Hall of Fame ability, teams tolerated his distractions until his abilities faded. Same with Deion Sanders.

Conversely, Tim Tebow brought with him major distraction. But because he wasn't very good, teams would not risk signing him (even though it would generate dollars via publicity and mega fan interest).
Kap is in the same boat. He's still a running quarterback, a read first option, maybe second and if not open, then run. He hasn't developed beyond his first few years in the league. Plus, he wants to start, and that ain't happening in Dallas with Capt. America II at quarterback.

So teams aren't willing to take the risk.
One thing people don't understand about convictions is that you have to be willing to suffer the consequences; otherwise, it's not a conviction.

When Colin Kapaernick made his stand, I'm sure he counted the cost. And he did it anyway. So if he's not on a roster because of it, that's the decision he made and cross he has to bear. Fortunately, he understands this because I don't hear him whining about it. And I'm not, unlike many of my brothers and sisters of the melanin variety. ;)

Sure, Cooper Rush is an interesting practice squad prospect, but we're talking about what happens if Dak goes down?
If Dak goes down for any length of time, they will sign Romo back, otherwise Moore is the guy.

And absolutely NO to Kaepernick!! It is not enough to say forget about his political views. We worked so hard at ridding this team of enough idiots to want to bring on another and we sure don't need the distraction.

1) No, uh-uh, nada, negative, nope
2) A few people giving him a shortened nickname like Kaep is like the stupid commercials that call Hepatitis C, "Hep C"...Hepatitis doesn't need to sound "cool" and neither doesn't Kaepernick (loser)
3) He isn't that good to warrant taking this chance
4) NO WAY on earth does JJ hurt his brand by bringing in this loser
5) This guy is not sorry for bringing this attention on himself during NFL games (that old clip that says NFL = Not For Long couldn't be truer); hold a press conference or two if you have views that you want to get across; don't make yourself bigger than the game that feeds you
6) If Dallas bent and signed this idiot, then during the national anthem do they (a) have him stay in the locker room and kneel by his lonesome or (b) have the OLine stand next to him and if he kneels pick him up and hold him like a child and THEN you don't block for him....give him the "Longest Yard" treatment
