I guess guys would love to get Brandon Weeden back. I don't care how high his QB rating is he's still worthless.

2014 85.7
2015 92.1
2016 107.7

He has shown that he is probably in the top tier of backup qbs. That's what this discussion is about. Not whether he should be starting which is the argument you're trying to make.

The fact of the matter is that he had a 91 QB rating last year and his QBR of 56 shows he's an above average qb to date. How many backup qbs in the NFL right now would you stake something significant that they could hit those same numbers?

The answer is you could count them on one hand with fingers to spare.

I wouldn't want this mental midget within 50 miles of Dak. He's a cancer looking for a place to spread.

It's sad that Kaepernick is making things worse and is likely causing more deaths by helping to get people worked up into a frenzy.

People are very misguided on the entire issue because of the media. The media reports on the stories that get people worked up and ignore other stories.

Police are not the real problem if you review the statistics.

If you really dig into the statistics, the problem really comes down to money. Low Income people are involved in more violent crime. People involved in violent crime are more likely to be killed by police.

Blacks have lower incomes, lower home ownership rates, higher unemployment and higher poverty rates than both Hispanics and Whites.

Household Wealth is an even bigger problem than income. Blacks have far less household Wealth than their average incomes while Whites have more Wealth than their average incomes.

The bottom line is that if Kaepernick wants to help the situation, then he would save more lives by donating all of his money than by protesting.

This is an absolute joke of a post. When you control for income levels it's been shown across the board that minority groups are still more likely to be targeted, prosecuted and shoved int America's undercaste. Again that's after you control for income disparities. Because a cop afterall can't tell how big your bank account is when they target you. When they stop you for a minor traffic violation. Or when they use a police profile to say you're likely to be involved in something criminal before ever approaching you.

Let me ask you this question...statistics show that whites are more likely to sell and use recreational drugs and yet they make up the overwhelming minority of those who are prosecuted and targeted in the war on drugs. Meanwhile you stick your head in the sand and pretend it's because of income disparity (it's not)? And if you were being intellectually honest you'd at least exam why that income disparity exists (you did not)

Joke post is a joke.

Certainly part of it. No doubt

Still, his QBR over the last 2 years is 30th out of 32 though.
That's of players who were good enough to get into games. If he was one of the best 32 qbs in football he'd be starting. We are talking about qbs 33-64 who are looking for jobs. If Colin is QB rank number 30...it would seem he's overqualified for a backup job.

The guy had a 90 QB rating and his QBR suggested he was above average last year.

How often does a 29 year old QB who had lead a team to the superbowl with that kind of prior year resume remain unable to get work?

This is about politics and nothing else.
Yet he won one more game than Moore did with 7 more starts.

Obviously the Cowboys aren't the only who think the distraction he brings is not worth the trouble. If he was your starting QB, perhaps you put up with the distraction, but your 3rd string QB, you don't.

If Kaepernick never plays again, I would love to see how committed he was to his cause. Will he join a police department and try to change all the social injustice he claims they bring. I seriously doubt it!

1) So are you saying Moore is on par with Colin? Yes or no.

2) A distraction to who? People fighting for social justice distracts you? That's unfortunate.

3) Typical. It's up for others to sacrifice while you sit back and judge. Always interesting.

And Kaepernick didn't blame the police at issue or even all police.

1. It doesn't matter who's better, Moore is out back up, Kaepernick isn't.
2. Distraction to the team, no need for the other players to be answering questions about the 3rd QBs beliefs.
3. Sacrifice? What's he sacrificing? What social injustice? His perception of social injustice isn't everyone's perception. Like I said, what he does about his perceived social injustice, will be telling. Somehow I don't see him doing anything else about it, which will show it was all for show.

If you lived in the DFW area, you would know that this is not a possibility. This area is highly conservative and patriotic. Would never happen here, New England, New York, Miami ( cuban backlash). Maybe in Cali ( which I love) or Washington.

No. You can bring in a mature QB who knows he's a backup; you don't bring in a young guy.

This is laugh out loud funny. If Kaepernick peed in your swimming pool you would say he was teaching kids about Chemistry.

So if Jay Cutler was a Neo-**** white supremacist you would be OK with giving him a bunch of money to be the backup, right? After all, its "just politics", not about the play on the field, free speech, all that. He would just be "fighting for his culture" or whatever the equivalent claptrap language is.

Great article interviewing 49ers CEO Jed York on the protester
  • There was certainly a divide in the locker room
  • It distracted us from winning football games

If you don't believe it, read it. If you read it, and still don't believe it, then there's no common ground for discussion.

Great article. The CEO of the NFL team in the most progressive city in America says this:

"I know he's passionate about social justice and I think he was willing to sacrifice the potential future football career for things that he felt was important. "

In other words, it was more important to Kaepernick to run his mouth than play football.

Conflating Kaepernick and a Neo-**** white supremacist....wow.
