If he is charged for assaulting his assistance coach would he be suspended by the commish?

I remember a certain QB coach for the Cowboys and his suspension. What would this draw?

Tom Cable is gonna get something because the assistant admitted to the cops what happened. The league has to get involved everytime a player or coach gets into legal trouble. My bet is a fine and a one game suspension

...charged with assault? Where does he fit in regards to suspensions at only (1) game. He is worse than a drug user?

Aren't usually leniant on first time offenders? One game is just my opinion. If I'm wrong about it, I'm wrong. But knowing this commish, he might try to make an example out of him.

...handed down to Wade Wilson I would be outraged if he is found guilty of assault and it resulted in a single game suspension and fine.

The insinuation would end being that you could pound the crap out of someone on your team, put them in the hospital with a broken bone and still keep your job in the NFL and only have short suspension.

You can do this while being the person's boss! So much for worker's rights.

I guess dogs are more important in the world.

Wade Wilson only got 1 additional game for being a coach.

Players on the juice usually get 4 games so being a coach was only worth 1 additional game.

I'm not sure what players have recieved for punching someone. I think the Panthers suspended Steve Smith for 2 a fight but I don't think the league had anything to do with that.

The league has always been more harsh on juicers than other drug offenders.

I actually doubt that Cable is suspended for more than a game, if that.

The Wilson suspension was asinine. It wasn't a performance-enhancing drug. Or at least, the performance it was supposed to enhance had nothing to do with his job. It was a case of the commissioner not exercising common sense under obvious circumstances. And I'm not someone who dislikes Goodell in the least.

Actually clubbing an subordinate in a team meeting is a much more significant offense, and it's one that has much more significant blowback on the league. That said, Cable deserves to have his side of the story heard before any decision is made.

I dunno. It sucks he was suspended when he wasn't doing anything wrong but if you are going to have banned substances without going through a doctor, I guess you open yourself up to punishment.

I was looking at his Wikipedia page and it says that he coached our Oline in 07.

LOL, I didn't know that...

The Commissioner may decide to punish the Raiders organization by not suspending Cable...

IIRC, the Panthers suspended him for 2 games but the league didn't get involved. They let it remain an internal matter. I don't think the League did anything when Michael Westrook beat the crap out of one of his teammates (forget who) in Washington. Granted, that was a different commish back then... but they ma not want to do anything here either.

...has no choice but to be consistent with his job as top cop of the NFL.

Last I heard the coaching staffs are part of the league. ie. Wade Wilson.
