Anyone think he would be in good enough shape to play?

He has no mobility at all now. I watched some of an early game last year and he looked worse then he did the last year he was with us.

We need to move on. No more dreaming of bringing in old players from the past.

I think everyone needs to stop panicking, Berger will do fine.

I think so too, especially with HH coaching him. He may turn out to be better then Kosier. I'm tellin ya, Nate was really hyping him during camp..

He seemed to lose his "flexibility" (bending at the knees and waist) with us but I thought he did okay from what I seen his first year at SF...not the old LA but pretty solid

probably right but still for a lineman he isn't necessarily to old.

Yeah if LA was motivated and in shape it would be awesome. but as others said it is probably just a thought that shouldn't have been thunk:)

You probably have the right of it my friend just a passing thought.

Now does anybody know of a lineman who is still out there or recently retired that might like one more year for a shot at the gold. Just to hedge our bet on Berger.

I would have no problem with that...what a way to go out,he is the last member of our SB TEAMS still active and he would be apart of hopefully a superbowl team this year.Yea,make it happen jerry:star:

I KNEW this would come up. Why don't we see if Troy wants to backup Romo while we're at it.

As a situational player? Sure. On dive plays, put him out there. With Davis, Gurode and him manning the interior, there should be holes up the gut that you could drive trucks through. On any other plays, sit him on the bench. His pass protection isn't what it used to be and he can't pull like he used to on running plays. He would be a better asset as a part-timer now.
