Elliot is not leaps and bounds better then some of the guys in this draft. He is better but he's not all that much better IMO. To me, he is lucky that he is not coming out next year. There could be three backs better then he is next year, seriously.

Bite your tongue.

Elliott is downright elite. Like direct descendent from Zeus himself elite. He's so elite not only will he keep Romo completely healthy, he'll keep Bryant healthy and keep the entire defense healthy and protect them by only keeping them on the field for like 7 minutes a game.

With Elliott this is a 14-2 team next year that probably can also rip off 3 Super Bowls in a row.

Shoot, they should just pack up their entire draft after taking Elliott at 4. They won't need to add another player to this team. Elliott will take care of it all.

He still has the powerful build in the legs and upper body. He doesn't have the long, thin torso like Arian Foster or Demarco Murray.

Elliott is thick. That's good for running backs.

It is but the target is still bigger. Earl Campbell was as thick as they come and the game wrecked him. Now, Elliott and Earl are not the same back. Earl was the best RB I ever saw and Elliott, I don't see that with him. Having said that, he's still a bigger target.

I think he's a combination of Arian Foster and Frank Gore.

I really am concerned with erod's health and well being if Elliott isn't drafted by the Cowboys.

Why stop there? When I see Elliott run, I see a true hybrid of greatness............... the speed of Usain Bolt, the strength of 15 Clydesdales, the power of a Dodge Charger Hellcat, the feet of Baryshnikov, the swagger of Mick Jagger and the brain of Einstein.

Who?

Doesn't fumble.
Runs with speed.
Runs with quickness.
Runs with power.
Blocks extremely well.
Catches the ball like a receiver.
Intensely competitive.

Who is like that? And don't give me Fournette.

Fournette may very well be rated higher then Zeke when he comes out. He is a different kind of back. Chubb, Cook, McCaffery, Perine and Michel could all come out and potentially be rated higher. Last year, Gurley was a better prospect. This player is good but he is not the best back I've ever seen. He's not even close. He's very good but that's it to me.

Well shoot, if an ESPN analyst says it......................... and Adrian Peterson came out ten years ago. So is the analyst claiming Elliott is a better and more complete than Peterson?

Complete does not mean best though. Besides, you hear that every draft. I was just watching the 2014 draft and they were sayng all kinds of stupid crap about Johnny Football and other players that have not really panned out. They are selling them to an extent because that's entertainment value.

You're only making a colossal fool of yourself, but carry on, please.

You took care of that role earlier:

While providing excellent pass protection, lead blocking on sweeps, catching the ball out of the backfield, and NEVER FUMBLING ONCE.

Keep trying. I feel like Patrick Ewing in a high school game.

He probably is more complete but he's not better then AD. if he was, I would be all over taking him at whatever pick.

All good runners. But none of them are the complete package, which is far more important.

Emmitt probably wasn't a top five running back during his day, but he was the most complete by far. Sanders, Thomas, Foster, Warren, Hampton, Watters, Anderson, Okoye, Butz, Leven, Anderson, Davis.....there were lots of great runners during his day, but few could do all the many things he did.

Here is the problem with your argument, you are assuming Zeke is going to be an all pro RB. You and the OP are hinging on his college skills translating to the pros, McFadden sure looked like a can't miss opportunity coming out of college.. There have been numerous RB busts just in the last 5 years.

I am not arguing for or against Zeke, just explaining why your argument is not very persuasive.

well, who else? There is no guarantee anyone of these picks will be All-Pro.

Bill Polian and Charley Casserly called Elliott the best player in the draft, bar none. (They said it would have been Jaylon Smith if not for the injury.)

Does that "move" you at all?

Are you stupid? Put it together: A SB CAN this year, but only Romo stays healthy.

Don't stop believin' little guy! Go Cowboys!

We have a better team now than in 2014, especially with Zeke. We were nearly in the Championship that year.

Based on what?

The only reason last season tanked is because Romo got hurt' otherwise, we'd have easily been in the playoffs.

Which us are far cry from your "Super Bowl claims". Or us this the first step in backtracking?

Besides the line, NO OTHER PLAYER is as crucial to Romo's health and productivity than a RB at least as effective as 2014.

Glad you mentioned the line being more important. I agree. Take the best lineman if he's there.

Murray couldn't even dream of holding Zeke's jock, so if we'd have had Zeke in 2024, we'd probably go all the way that year...

More 'fantasy football' hypotheticals. 'If only...'

GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD that we aren't rebuilding this year........

We're paying old man Romo because we have no one else, and he might actually pull off a SB.

Get it "through your head" that this team isn't a running back away from a Super Bowl.

Give Romo the absolute best tool, Zeke, and let's enjoy a deep playoff run, better D, ****-like ball control, and the rushing title - just for fun.

Short term, patchwork thinking with zero vision. The same thinking that helps keep this team spinning its' wheels at .500 forever. Always 'one piece away'.

your head, Ramsey might make 3 awesome plays THE ENTIE YEAR, whereas Zeke would likely get 350+ touches and offensive rookie of the year.

Suddenly, the passing lanes open up, and Romo runs away with NFL efficiency again..

Anything but Zeke, Bosa, or Trade down is utterly stupid I think..

Why the hell are we pretending Ramsey's a CB, when it's clear he's nod even a mid first RD CB..

Like a great many other things, you apparently mistake me for someone banging on the table for Ramsey.

I fully agree, although I think we're wearing out the forum with Zeke threads. (I'm culprit #1)

An elite back with fresh tires at a relatively reduced rate behind a top offensive line in Romo's waning days.

It's pretty clear-cut to me.

But not to everyone. Which is why we must keep these "draft Zeke" threads alive. Everyone needs to come around to this reality before Thursday...I will not rest. LOL.
