I don't care if Zeke becomes a bust and Ramsey becomes a first ballot HOF... Draft Zeke
Zeke logic.

I know some of you don't want to hear this but Elliott isn't a stone cold, 150%, guaranteed, book it now, place that $1,000,000 Vegas bet to be a stud.
let's see, so Murray got $2 million per fumble.....Elliott gets $25 million for not fumbling 6 times...but could result in 6 TDs.....yeah, give me Elliott for $25 mil....
I am just question erod when he said Elliott comes at a reduced rate. He doesn't.
The team might also be better if they take Ramsey. You just don't know.

Ummm, he'd essentially be making nearly DOUBLE what Murray would have made.
Murray only had $12MM guaranteed on his deal. Elliott gets $25MM guaranteed the moment he's drafted.
Without an improved defense it'd be nearly impossible to go 12-4, even with Zeke. I do think he'd be great behind that line though.
But think about it, in 2014 Dallas not only had the league's leading rusher by a mile, they also had the leagues top rated QB (both QB rating and compl %).
That has never happened before and most likely would not happen again.
Also, there were several miraculous endings to games in our favor that year.
21 point comeback win vs the Rams..late 4th qtr
Romo whirly move on Watt, then semi- Hail Mary to go to OT then beat Houston
Another game-winning drive vs the Giants--this time Bryant TD with 1 minute left
Interference call at end of Lions game giving us new life and game winning drive
etc
Dallas MUST improve on defense.
Yes, but Murray was 7 years older than Elliott.
Zeke logic.
Not only did we need some miracles with the NFL's best passer and rusher but....
We also had a defense that was near tops in the league in turnovers forced.
That fact conveniently gets left out.
Doesn't change the point. You said Elliott comes at a reduced rate.
He doesn't. He's a Top Ten paid NFL TB the moment he gets drafted and would be making double what Murray was offered by the Cowboys and almost double what the highest paid TB got this year in free agency got.
So pound your chest at how awesome you think Elliott it and how the Cowboys should take him. But don't make things up to try to build support for your cause by saying things like Elliott comes pretty cheap. He does not.
Yes, but Murray was 7 years older than Elliott.
So, we should just not take anyone because No. 4 picks are highly paid?
What player in the draft will touch the ball more for Dallas than Elliott? What player will be more intricately involved? Nobody.
Let me ask you this: How nice will it be to FINALLY have a running back that doesn't fumble? That's worth $25 million to me right there. Murray, Randle, Dunbar, McFadden......sick of it.
Yippee! Another Zeke thread that references 2014 and when Emmitt was here! I never thought of it like that!
Also how in the world are they going to trade up to get Lawson and then still have a 3rd round pick to take a CB? LOL. If they move up from the high 2nd round into the first, that third is probably part of the price.
Imagine blowing the game wide open with Zeke rather than this:
I fully agree, although I think we're wearing out the forum with Zeke threads. (I'm culprit #1)
An elite back with fresh tires at a relatively reduced rate behind a top offensive line in Romo's waning days.
It's pretty clear-cut to me.
Come on erod, we all know age, injury history and the amount of carries prior to free agency had nothing to do with the decision to move on from Murray. It was the position solely that led the front office to move on from him.
