I didn't really think it was all that bad. Didn't seem to be all that bad from what was reported, or not reported, or supposedly reported but found out to be inaccurate.
But damn.
Dallas has released 3 specific players. 2 of them have been off the team for a while and haven't found any suitors. Tank and Pacman could be jobless this season. I'd say Pacman will be. Nobody wants either of those guys. Pacman can still play and Tank is serviceable as a backup mouthpiece. I assume teams are holding off on Pacman until closer to camp. No need to extend one's self over a career criminal. So maybe someone will look into those guys.
And then there is TO. PFT, like or hate em has that list of teams that aren't gong to touch the guy. From ALL reports, his choices are going to be slim.
3 players. One still a damn good producer between the lines. Another, young and talented but rusty from his time spent away from the game. And the third, a capable player who seems to be a little lazy maybe?
3 players, nobody really wants any of them! Someone will take TO but what Pacman and Stank? Maybe someone takes a flyer later on? Who knows but nothing is guaranteed for two of them. I think it pretty much goes without saying that Jerry is probably the only owner in the league who would give all three of those guys a chance at the same time.
So think about it. 3 guys that no one really wants. They are all talented so whats the deal? Teams are just suddenly in the market to pass on talented players. Tank and Pac can probably be had at minimums with little to no guarantee. Still, nobody has bit.
3 talented guys that nobody wants all sat in the same locker room and now all are getting little interest from the rest of the league.
So I ask you. How bad was that locker room? Sure as hell couldn't have been pretty. I know I wanted to believe it was all BS and things were on the ups but when you see multiple guys left out in the cold cause no one wants them, kind of makes you wonder.
