Double Star jersey for $175 and an Owens replethentic Thanksgiving Throwback for $86. Just recd the Owens jersey yesterday...the quality is unreal, just not as heavy duty as the authentic. Hope I have the Double Star in time for Dec 3!

Those are nice, but trust me, they are not "authentic." Just very good fakes. I've got a couple myself -- the price is too good to pass up. But they are not authentic jerseys. I've got 4 reals one and the ones on ebay are not the same quality.

I can understand why most classify Ebay jerseys fake because 90% of them are but the guy selling them for 150 is legit. Did you buy from the 150 guy or someone else? I would imagine you got one for under 100 and those are always fake. The embroidery on the 150 jerseys is too good to be a knockoff.

If you don't believe me I can take some high res pictures of mine.

For those of you in the market and are considering the ebay guy here are some pics

http://new.photos.yahoo.com/asvfs/album/576460762351297283

The easiest way I could always tell between fakes is in my pic dsc00404. With the real thing there is a silky spandex material that is elastic that runs all the way from the collar on the sleeve to the bottom of the jersey. I have only seen this one the real ones because the material is expensive.

Well I do have a real Authentic double star, #88 my name so when this one come's in I will be able to tell for sure although I'm pretty damn sure that this Romo one is indeed Authentic. I did try a white Bobby Carpenter "Authentic" last week for $39 off of ebay...not bad, not great but definitely not real!

BIGBADROY, it's funny you ask if I'm going to the game. Citibank has offered up 6 tickets to a group of us where I work, Big Time tailgating starts at 1:00 under their tent, plenty of booze great eats etc! The downside is the tickets are not in the usual luxury box but in up nosebleed territory. To make a long story short I've decided to stay home and watch from my 52". You really can't beat the tv with all the replays etc etc although that stadium will be rockin!

Hey, I'm not knocking the ones sold on ebay -- there are some really good ones and I have 3 myself. But they simply are not authentic NFL jerseys. Just an FYI. The fakes tend to have smaller numbers and the collars are not as thick. There is no way to get an authentic jersey for 150 bucks.

Look at this one:

Romo never played for us when we wore those, nor did Terry Glenn. Plus the lettering on the name is not the same as it was on those particular authentic jerseys -- I know because I have a Roy Williams from 2002 that's authentic.

True but it is not uncommon for people to take a different style jersey and send it off to get it renumbered or renamed. That is a good catch though cause your right TG and Romo never played with that jersey and he shouldn't be saying they are authentic.

I have a navy blue one and my collar is 1.25 inches thick how thick is yours? Do you have an authentic navy blue to compare?

If mine is indeed fake where would you go to get a real one?

I can't speak for the double star jersey but I compared mine to a Roy Williams on the Reebok website and mine is identical.

Every aspect of that jersey is identical to mine.

Another way to tell is the tag that is on the front of the jersey. The real authentics do not have the "NFL Players" logo as part of that front label. I've got a blue T.O. jersey from ebay and it's really nice -- it just ain't authentic as advertised. Frankly, I'm surprised that the NFL hasn't raised hell about it with ebay.

Ok, explain to me the NFL Players tag. Which tag are you talking about? The tag at the bottom or the tag at the V of the neck?

The bottom...

The guy from ebay doesn't have the tags he is talking about.

Are you saying that Reebok makes cheap knockoffs of its own products? I don't see Rolex doing that.
