Just watch: If T.O. is released, all media reports will say what a bad move it is. They'll start bashing Jerry Jones for leaving such a big void at the WR position, citing that there is no provem superstar WR on the roster to complelent a team so talentedly close ("talentedly" - is that a word - LOL) to winning a Super Bowl. And when speaking of WR Roy williams, they'll just brush him off, saying he is not yet proven, just to justify their "no provem superstar WR on the roster" claim.

I mean, think about it; can't you just see this coming? I'm sure Werder and Mosley of ESPN are already outlining their article titles for next season's Dallas Cowboys as we speak. :laugh2:

I couldn't disagree more. I think the move will gather more praise for Jerry than anything he has done since hiring Parcells.

Of course some are going to jump on the TO bandwagon and call Jerry an idiot - the same way half a locker room or some in the media defend him now.

But when numerous ex-Cowboy players, ex-Coybow coaches and analysts all agree he is a disaster for this clubhouse, I think you are going to see many applaud Jerry finally choosing character over talent.

This will get spun on TO, who will be jettisoned from his 3rd team, not Jerry.

Just make sure to take all sharp objects away from Jordan and Bleu.

The more I read these articles with un named sources, the more I am convinced that the un named source is Jerry himself, trying to keep the Cowboys in the front page of the spots page.

It will be controversial, but I think most media outlets will praise the move.

Maybe because it would be a bad move.

They gave up a 1st round pick, plus other picks, to get Roy Williams. TO was getting double coverage a lot and the front office needed a solution for a weak WR corps. So with TO gone, do you honestly think you will have a better team? Sure the Cowboys can go to free agency and snag one up, but would it make that more of a difference? IMHO T.O. is still a top 5 reciever in the NFL.

Yeah, because everyone couldn't wait to jump all over Jerry for finally releasing Pac Thug. Oh wait, it was universally applauded.

Jerry brings this stuff on his self because he wants the attention. The owner and GM of your favorite team is a drama queen of the highest order, deal with it. The persecution complex nonsense gets so stale and old.

Don't think so. Someone could murder T.O. and most members of the media would make the killer out to be a hero.

Wow that is over the top, he is just an asset that we have failed to use correctly, lets not get too emotional about the packaging, and our lack of asset management. Let's modify the management or gather an asset that they can manage.

Don't forget 5Countem5...he won't be able to finish every non-pro TO post telling us to deal with it because TO will be here.

The TOsaders would definitely need some group therapy.

Come on dude! For 3 years running he has been in the top3 in the league for dropped passes. Many of them scoring or impacting catches that could have won the game. Yet, he still complains about not getting the ball enough. Talent alone isn't enough. You have to have team chemistry and use ALL of your weapons. Granted, outside of Owens, I think Romo locks on Witten too much but at least he catches 90 percent of the balls thrown at him.

Yeah, but TO produces and demands a double coverage. TO is not Pacman. RW, barely needs to be covered, he is not a #1. You think Romo had it bad before, he won't even be able to get the ball to Witten. Running game? What running game. We will be worse off than the skins. We dont' even have a 1000 yard RB.

Does Owens continue to draw double coverage at all times now? From what I've seen teams are no longer dedicating 2 guys to Owens, but instead are allowing a safety over the top at times and going single coverage with a more physical corner at other times. Whitten has been getting as much attention as Owens. I don't think Owens scares teams as he used to do. His skills are declining. Sure, he's still dangerous, but not to the degree he was a couple of years ago.

Look, this guy is and always will be a locker room cancer and with declining skills the baggage he brings is no longer worth the trouble.

Obviously you don't watch the games. Yes TO still gets doubled and we have no one named Whitten.
