Finally got a chance to watch this game after hearing so many analysts gush over Siemian. Didn't look so great to me, and if Dak plays exactly the same we lose big and the pundits will all be talking bust.

Don't expect to see that, but it drives me nuts when the defense wins a game, not to mention a missed FG (albeit from 50), and the QB gets much credit.

That's the NFL really. QBs get too much credit and too much blame, and the realities of strong defensive play get ignored. Over-sensationalism is a huge part of our society and it extends to football, politics, the news, etc

Yeah he did not have a good game. Hopefully Dak is quite a bit better in his debut.

I expect Dak to a LOT better, and this defense could very likely still lose the game. I hope I'm wrong, but I just have a very bad feeling about this season. Not Daks' play, and certainly not Zeke's play, but the overall record.

Honestly, I think the praise is coming more from the fact that he didn't cost his team the game. Everyone knows that the Denver defense is their calling card. What they didn't know was whether or not Seimien would throw away their efforts. So far, so good. The kid made one bad decision and had a batted pass at the LOS intercepted. Other than that it wasn't a horrible game. He DID lead his team to the eventual game winning drive. And let's be honest, the guy beat one of the best defenses in the entire league as a first time starter. Not bad for a team that 6 months ago was counting on Osweiller to assume the throne only to have to trade for and, subsequently, release Sanchez and start a 2nd year 7th round pick.

The kid has a lot to improve on (which is good). His coaches will have some solid "learning moments" on tape without suffering a loss as an accompaniment.

Still say that wasn't an int. at the start of the 4th quarter for the broncos. The ball hit the ground.
