well we need a good backup so I hope the kid learns the ropes. I wouldn't lay too heavy odds on him even backing up SS but stranger things have happened. There will be four safeties on the team. He has to beat out one of the other three or Reese, Scott and Davis. I think he has a chance as none of those guys makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

I heard he's been doing good in coverage drills. He's set himself up pretty good to knock the ball down and has even picked some off. Talk is the coaches are considering letting him compete for FS.

Wouldn't it be great if we hit on all the draft picks this year.
So far Bill seems very happy with the rookies.
Would be great if we got a bonanza like the 49ers did that year.

I'm really pulling for this kid. Loves to hit, good motor. BP will find room for him.

The scouting reports on him were glowing about his tackling. Coverage was considered a weak spot, but not by every source. He rated high on character and work ethic. I have high hopes that this kid makes it as our FS. What a steal.

This guy is much bigger & faster then Bates ever hoped to be...
I always thought Downs was a wuss...Always getting run over...
He sounds like he will be a great fit on ST to start with anyway...

Good football instincts and a knack for hitting hard will help him make the team. Everyone wants guys like him on speacial teams. I see him beating out Lynn Scott if they only keep four.

JB is quickly becomeing one of my favorite players. I hope he can push Davis and Reese for that starting FS spot.
