I can only imagine what the Jags fan forum posts are like today.Speaking Thursday, Jaguars owner Shad Khan said the team has "no plans" to release troubled WR Justin Blackmon.

At this point the bigger cost can't be measured in dollars and cents. The humiliation and embarrassment he brings the franchise should be enough to convince them it's time to move on. Even if he is only 24 years old.I wonder what the cost difference is between releasing him and keeping him.

some people have zero self control.
Wasn't that Warren Moon who said that?
No, you're wrong.
More or less, EVERY analyst said the same thing.
YR
Moon said it first and many analyst jumped on it thinking it sounded good. They repeated it ad nauseam. I was surprised because it was easy to tell just casually following Oklahoma St football that Blackmon had some issues. None of these guys did a simple google search of Blackmon at the time to find out he didn't have all his brain cells. Plus it was easy to see a difference in on the field talents between Bryant and Blackmon as well. Not a huge gap, but Dez did bring a little more talent to the table.
tue some people do not need to be running around getting high. I think the NFL should have a 3 strike policy and your out. These guys get a great oppertunity in life and watching them blow it over stupid stuff is rediculas
when hitting your wife only gets you 2 games, I stop caring about this stuff. It's all out of wack.
I disagree. I do think he will eventually get cut, but there is no reason to rush. It's the Jags. They have been humiliated and embarrassed for years now. Getting rid of him won't change the way fans perceives that franchise. Even back in the days when they were good, they were never an interesting franchise that garnered much attention. They can wait a year and cut him next summer or whatever makes the most economical sense.
I always hear Weed is no big deal, evidently it is for Blackmon who seems to allow weed to control his career and is costing him money in missed games.
I guess we'll pick him up in a couple of years for a 4th rounder...
