@AdamSchefter: Falcons adding LBs: Former Texans LB Brooks Reed is expected to sign with Atlanta as is former Cowboys LB Justin Durant, per sources.

Man we better up our offer to rolando and Bruce quickly before we lose our lb

I thought LBs could be drafted/replaceable in this scheme? Most of the starting LBs for 4-3 teams aren't high end types (salary wise) with some obvious exceptions. I hope the team keeps picking them up in the middle rounds similar to Hitchens last season.

Who's shown interest in Ro? It's a little scary because he has a lot more leverage now.

LB is a huge weakness for us now,we need shore up the Dline in FA because we need atleast 2 new LBs .

It was going into last year also, even before Lee was injured. And still became a strength. Hope they can do it again.

I hope the plan isn't to start Hitchens, I like the idea of

WLB: Sean Lee, (rookie)
MLB: Rolondo McClain, Anthony Hitchens, Cameron Lawrence
SLB: Bruce Carter, Keith Rivers

Yeah, I think they have Rivers backing up both OLB positions, but Lee at Weak Side makes sense. Not as fast as Carter, but you can't teach instincts. He'd get hurt a lot less as well.

Not over confident, just not prone to panic. lol

nah the slick comments about durant's injury history, demarco being a loser for the GB game...who needs him, dez being influenced by jay-z's hip hop regime, get rid of him before he becomes a cancer....one decent playoff run and some have let it get to their heads.

I was hoping to keep Durant or Carter, losing both sucks. Right now the LB core starters in my view will be Lee, McClain and Hitchens. I think that is a good group but I also think more depth will need to be added. I think Dallas will fill that the same way they did when we brought in Durant, mid level FA

I agree completely about Murray and Dez, but Durant ehh not so much.

Signing Ro is probably more of a priority now than it was, but I think they'll be fine with him, Lee, Hitchens, Wilber, and Rivers. I'm assuming they still do that thing where they target a linebacker every year in the draft.

I think Rod defense LB is pretty important. Looking at the core in Tampa Bay and with the Bears. I was hoping to keep one of the 2 Durant or Carter but does not look like that will happen. I do love the fact in Hutchins we have a guy who can play all 3 spots and do so very well and should only get better with experience.
