Woods, Heath, and Frazier... who's the 4th this year?
The Cowboys have had no talents as the fourth safety for years.

Marinelli doesn't value the position any more than he does DT.

It is just what he does.

This is a man who fielded garbage like Chris Conte at safety. And liked it.

That’s the point. What are you struggling to grasp here? They have typically always carried 4 safeties on the 53. Two years ago they carried Heath, Jones, Frazier, Wilcox and Church.

But they don’t have a fourth, competent S. And the third might have a medical issue.

By any rational, logical analysis, this is not a great situation at safety right now.

We like what we have at safety.

You forget the countless hours that Showers has been groomed for this chance.

Next man up.

Cowboys have Marqueston Huff, Tyree Robinson and Jameill Showers as backups at Safety. Add in starters Jeff Heath, Xavier Woods and alternate starter/backup Kavon Frazier, that makes 6 total Safeties on the roster for now.
Hello? I did the research for you guys. There currently are 6 Safeties on the team roster. ^^^^

Can’t wait until they are forced to move Jones back to safety, or even worse, move Awuzie.

Hello but Huff, Robinson and Showers are roster fodder.

If they are actually thinking these guys are solid 53 man candidates, then guess what? Safety is worse than we think.

There is NO reason to move Awuzie. Let him be.

Of course there is no reason.

Unless of course your plan at safety backfires and you are forced into a situation where you have to move someone....... ala their 1 Tech exploits.

I am fully preparing myself for the disappointment when they announce Awuzie is going to play S.

We're good. All the teams we play run the triple option, we don't need guys capable of defending the long ball.

Your Showers slander. It. It is not good for you.

LOL. They have only two safeties right now practicing.

Attempts to spin this as no big deal are bizarrely hilarious. In any normal logical outlook, this not great. In no way is the “plan” that we just need two safeties now and Frazier doesn’t need a full training camp.

Well unless you are a Cowboys apologist. In that case, we could lose Woods and Heath tomorrow to the Black Plague and you’d be telling us it’s all good.
It's cause for concern, but not cause for panic before the first practice. They can address the issue in an instant if it becomes critical, all they have to do is pay what Seattle and ET are demanding. Now, whether they're willing to do that is another issue.

What we need is Earl Wilkinson - AKA " Ray Smith"

No! They have like 5 safeties at practice, Chicken Little. Robinson, Huff, and Showers are still on the roster in addition to Heath and Woods. You need to stop with the panic mode silliness.

Two free safeties, no strong safeties, and 3 camp bodies.

Frazier was a guy we needed to step up, *and* who had no competition.

Can we have a conversation without the snarky comments? The thing you are struggling to grasp is Xavier Woods is a superstar in the making and Heath is a more than adequate safety as well. Frazier's absence hurts Special Teams more than it hurts our defense. Frazier is not out for long.

Edit: ok maybe my joke was a little too soon. I just seen that Frazier could have a serious condition.

Hope it's not too serious with him

The reality is that this probably isn't a serious condition. It may be nothing, it may be something that requires light medication or the worse case is that he will need to take some serious meds. Its very unlikely to affect his career, Thank God.

Good thing Jerry has decided to horde some of that cap money. If they had depth they couldn’t use the injury excuse.
