KaVontae Turpin

He's been fine. I think he's 4th in the league in kickoff return yards and he hasn't really broken one. As a receiver, he's on pace to have around 400yards like he did last year. He's not going to get a lot of touches with Lamb and PIckens.

Maybe the problem is expectations? He makes around $5 million a year. He's basically a special teams guy and 4th or 5th wr that gets some gadget plays.

Is Turpin just not that good or are the coaches not using him right?
In the return game, he seems to hesitate and easily tracjed down/coralled and is not really a factor and on offense, he seems easily dealt with by opposing defenses.
I guess I was hoping for more of a Tyreek Hill type player but instead got a Dino Hall lol.
It's like he gets the return runs where the crowd is and that's it, doesn't really try to avoid going into the crowd, the hesitation thing drives me wild

I think he’s going a fine job at kick returns

What is it you’re unhappy with?

If you’re expecting a cheap, fourth or fifth WR to compare to a guy like Hill, one of the best and most electric receivers in the league, then yeah, you’re going to be disappointed.

He’s never been a big part of the offense.

What a big disappointment he has been on kickoffs and punt returns. Watch him he is very hesitant and not using that burst of speed. Honestly he looks scared returning kicks especially punts where he signals fair catches way too many times.

It's likely that Turpin isn't what we thought he was at this point last year. His hesitation is obvious.

Thanks a lot Captain obvious, but why can't he there's no effort into making him a part of the offense with the speed he has

With the blocking he gets, he probably decides on a hole and it immediately gets filled, making him wait for another one. It's frustrating, but I'd rather see that than see him get hurt or lose the ball.

The big contract regression. It’s one of the hallmarks of the Jimmy Johnson curse.

I don't like his as a receiver. I don't think he has good hands.

But he has been disappointing as a kick off returner. People thought he would be great with the new rules but he has been anything but that. I agree he has not been running full speed when he catches the kick off and that negates h is best attribute which is his speed. But the Cowboys special teams player don't block well either.

Honestly, I hate the new kickoff rules and I wish they would go back to the old rules.

yo, mr reading comprehension.

He said he was hoping for Tyreek Hill. I didn’t just pull that out of thin air.
