Who will be the better pro in your opinion?

I'm impressed with Terrance Williams. I heard Keenan Allen getting a lot of hype so I decided to check him out and was surprised at the talent he displayed.

Not a bash on Williams or anything because I really like his ability. Just looking for some honest opinions.

Allen looks beast but Terrance Williams just looks like a perfect fit in our offense.

Most people had Allen rated higher than Williams.
Some had him going int he 1st round all the way until the final week or so.
The last ranking I saw had Allen 38th overall and Williams 60th. fwiw

Allen is much more polished. But he's had some injury issues and his 40 time was very slow.

I think more than anythng, Dallas needed an outside threat that could take the top off the defense--which would be Terrence Williams.

I would not bet against Allen having the overall better career though, it's just to hard to predict.

Allen was the only person I questioned that we maybe could have taken over Williams. It's hard to knock Williams though because he led the entire nation in receiving yards last year with 1,832 and had 12 TD's to go with it.

#1 in yards in the country and tied for #8 in TD's aint bad.

Yeah and Williams is a heck of a downfield threat and can track the ball as well as anyone you'll see.

Keenan Allen looks bigtime though. He could be the most talented receiver in the last 2 drafts.

With an ACL injury, and as a compliment to Dez, he may not have worked out as well as Williams.

Keenan definitely has that wow factor. When you watch his highlight tape it's pretty incredible.

I thought I read somewhere that the issue with him was his knee should of been in better condition at this point in his rehab hence the drop during the draft.

Biggest piece we are missing offensively is a deep treat...when Defenses are focused on Dez and Witten, we need somebody to blow the top off the defense..that's why Williams was such a great pick. While this WR class was great, not many are deep treats. We got the best fit for this team, IMO.

Been watching Keenan Allen since a Junior in Highschool. Kid played ball in North Carolina and committed to Bama his Junior year. Alot of bama fans thought he was a sure fire safety at the college ranks but Allen was hell bent on Offense and rightfully so because the kid could play and make plays. Well Allen eventually burn Bama at the end choosing to play with Cal instead (they offer his brother as well to play QB) and Keenan Allen went on to have a great career at Cal-Berkely. Alot of ill-will towards Bama fans but eventually got over it.

With that said, I often kept tabs on Keenan just to see the type of career he would have and see if he would excel out west. Well seems like Allen was all of Cal's offense and they did everything they could to give him the ball. I believe the kid will put up great numbers inthe NFL far as catches goes but I didn't really see that World Class Speed as a Terrance Williams have. But make no mistakes about it Keenan has great hands and can catch balls in traffic (across the middle) better than any WR in this draft. Just an all around athlete

Allen if healthy is more of a number one. Williams is a number two IMO, a little Alvin Harper in him.

I thought, going into this draft that Allen was the best WR in the draft and the only WR that could have a chance to come out and be a starter from day one.

Obviously, as has been mentioned already, his knee issues concerned teams. I believe his knee will recover and I believe Allen is going to turn out to be the best WR in this draft. He's simply amazing in his ability to run routes and catch the football. I wished we had drafted him but we didn't so it doesn't matter.

Go Williams!

The calvin johnson of college football type numbers:eek:

keenan allen as some dez type catches and run after the catch in him. Whoa.
If williams could improve his run after catch and juking skills though watch out.

Williams is more of a beat you with his route running, body positioning or sneaky deep speed type guy.

Keenan allen is like a catch a short pass and get your pop corn ready.

I like Markus Wheaton he is going to a great situation and to a team that has hit on a lot of mid-round WRs recently. The guy compared to Mike Wallace could play a similar role in a year or two...

Regards to the question I think if healthy Keenan Allen will be the better pro he is more versatile and plays with physicality. Injury concerns are the only reason why he tumbled so far.

It was obvious we were not going to draft Allen before the draft,it was either Hunter or Williams.

I like Williams better than Hunter.

Hunter looks like a possession guy at this level imo. A poor mans Keyshawn.

Williams looks like a downfield threat with the upside to become a quality route guy.

Not sure how you got that impression of Justin Hunter.. He is probably one of the best deep threats in the entire draft.. He ran a 4.41 and is 6'4.. If you watch his tape many of his signature catches are big plays over the top of the defense

I like the Williams pick a lot though.. in order to get Hunter we would have had to take him at 31 which means we might not have gotten Frederick.

If all things were equal I would take Hunter over Williams but I think Williams at 74 is a better value than Hunter at 31..

As for the original question.. I like Williams better than Keenan Allen.. Allen is a 4.7 guy who will be pretty limited at the next level. Williams is a much better deep threat and compliments our current weapons much better than Allen would.

If Allen recovers as I expect him to, he will be a 4.4 guy pretty easily.

To be honest you may be right about Hunter. I didnt watch him extensively so I could definetely be wrong. That was just my first impression.

I VERY happy with the Williams pick! I'll take him in the 3rd round, most people had him as a late 1st or early 2nd round pick.

Nobody had Williams close to the 1st. We got him right around where most had him projected although it wouldn't have surprised anybody if he slipped into the late 2nd. Risen made a nice thread for all of our picks and where they were projected to go. http://cowboyszone.com/forums/dallascowboys.php?t=255625
