Once ok, twice, hmm......Is this guy an innocent victim, or does trouble find him .....last time he was cut, what happens now....

Yes or NO....do we cut are ties and say goodbye....just give your vote, your first instinct....

Cutting Davis if his story is correct would be just plain stupid. It could have happened to anyone.

Is he suppose to not visit his family? Is he suppose to not try to get home to go to his church? Is he not suppose to have the car he wants and can afford? Should because of his last incident, go into a closet and hid?

If Parcells cuts him because of this and his (Davis) story is correct then he must be the most idiotic man in the world not to mention a good way to hurt the team especially from a ST point and moral point.

The first time he put himself in a bad situation. This time he apparently did nothing wrong. So no I don't see him getting cut plus we have to take a cap hit if we cut him.

Pat summerall last night said this is the end for davis.

JJT said he will be back by the end of training camp.

I smell a pup list for davis and parcells breaking his chops about this and making him sit and watch coleman and or watkins play his spot while he covers kicks later in the year.

Its all in who and what you believe.

Wait and see when the truth comes out.

If he was involved in something that resulted in being chased from behind and shot up, then I think he will be gone eventually. Too many incidents if that is the case.

He will be cut in favor of another Safety.

If his story holds up or is not investigated further, he will be okay.

He doesn't get cut, but he loses his starting FS position.

Well, I always believe in waiting until the truth comes out.

I'm very suspicious of the incident, but it is quite possible that he was an innocent victim to a carjacking. If he was, then I think it would be unjust to cut him.

I think it will all depend on how much if any times he misses. If others step up and earn a roster spot Davis could find himself released.

to who? he's the highest paid FS on our roster -- that ought to tell you something about what the team thinks about his skills.

Training camp is a time for people to prove themselfs and earn spots. If Davis is not here he does this team no good and opens the door for someone else.

Maybe next year, but me thinks that Davis was kept so that WAtkins could get some time to catch on to the NFL before as BP woudl put it "he gets thrown to the dogs"

Watkins and Coleman have a lot of ground to makeup -- the team saw enough from Davis last year to keep him around with a large raise.

And how much TC is the guy going to miss -- if these are just flesh wounds then he'll be close to being fully healed by TC

If Davis does not miss much or any time then great, all I'm saying is if he is out for any extended time then yes he is at risks losing his job and while he might have been the best FS last year that does not say much which is why Dallas went out and got Coleman to start with. Davis on special teams has been good at FS? come on that was a very weak area on defense last season. In 39 starts and he has no ints, Coleman at least has been able to get a few ints and has vet experiance. I think if Davis misses much he could find his way off the roster

I agree with the coaches, I think he did ok last year, and could improve this year.

But I don't think he was paid so much that he couldn't lose his starting job if outplayed by one of the other guys. Nor would I be surprised to see Coleman or Watkins beat him out for the starting spot.

I think there was a chance Davis could get beaten out even before this incident. Davis has not done jack in Dallas, he gets out of position which has lead to several deep balls caught aginst us. He has shown no nose for the ball and has 0 ints in 39 starts. He has played well on special teams other than that I just don't see much from Davis

C'mon, the man was on his way to church. You all need to cut him some slack.

Yeah if you believe his story. I think there is more to it. Being shot 2 times for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, sounds fishy. The guy finds trouble...

Personally I think he is gone, if he isn't ready at the start of camp, and he may even be gone anyway. He is an average at best safety, and good special teams player. He is very replaceable...
