So, Im in Boise, have seen all of his college games, junior and senior year at home in person, and watched his preseason appearances for the Lions. I may be a little biased, but this is a great signing and eventually will push Weeden off the roster. Moore does not have a strong arm, but he is everything else you want in a QB. He is Brees-ish. He is so smart, reads the defense right, looks off the safety, and throws his receivers open with anticipation. He is an ideal #2 QB. Unlike Weeden, he will come in for a game or two, and will win you those games because he is so well-prepared and does not make mistakes. It only helps that he played for Linehan for two years in Detroit. Topping off a great offseason for this FO...

It is funny that the players some of us have been clamoring for the most are finally ending up here.

Guys like Hardy would have been a pipe dream even though they made so much sense.

CMichael is a perfect fit for this team right now and Kellen Moore also seems like a great match. Kinda like Colt McCoy for WAS.

I was hoping that Cordarelle Patterson or Stephon Diggs were cut by MINN but they both made it.

ps- you guys sure had a close one the other night. Petersen almost stole one.

Kellen Moore reminds me of Josh Heupel. Highly productive college QB who lacks the skill set to play in the NFL.

And he went into coaching PDQ. That is what Moore will likely do as well if he wants to.

If Moore is the 3rd string QB in Lion, who's the backup QB there ?
Saw a few games of Boise St with him, quite impress with his throws and decision, not that mobile though. When he went undrafted, was hoping he could be snatched up by Cowboys, quite happy with this move.

Kid was 50-3 in college. Think about that....50 wins in 4 years. And if it wasn't for our idiot kicker.....he would have been 52-1. Kid just knows how to win. Hopefully it will rub off on Romo.

There are a bunch of QB's who won a ton of games in college, but couldn't make it in the pros. Danny Wuerffel was "a winner" in college, too. Not saying your boy can't play, but if there's any "rubbing off" to be done, it'll be the other way around.

This is something that is constantly undervalued by fans. Having smart players around helps teach other players how to be smart about the game. I would rather have a guy like Moore on the practice squad than some big armed brute who offers nothing in the locker room or on the sideline.

Yeah, but if he can't throw that 60 yard slant, then he's no good to us. :p
