If that’s the case expect to see a lot of Brown bouncing off of Deebo Samuels.
Lewis was being killed by Kirk in the Arizona game. So they brought in Joseph to play on the outside in the second half... moving Brown into the slot DB role. Playing Joseph on the outside is a good idea if SF starts putting Deebo in the slot a lot.
Wow if they make that move in the playoffs they have to have full faith in the Boss.
Imagine if this dude is legit, him and Diggs will be real nice.
Be really sweet!!!
He’s got stones for hands (multiple dropped INT’s this season), but he’s a good athlete with all the physical tools to be a good player for us. Hope he takes advantage of this opportunity and makes a name for himself in a good way.
Seems like some BB speculation. However, if the coaches feel they need more speed out there...this move makes sense. I feel JL is probably the best tackling CB they have, but he might not have recovered fully yet. Either way, I'm down with whoever they put out there cause I like all the CBs, and believe they can do the job.
Surprised how physical he tackles
He had 4 picks in 9 games, his last year of college ball. That doesn't mean anything though. I don't know how highly (or not) rated his ball skills were, but hopefully those drops are an outlier from a guy who hasn't had a ton of snaps. Harris, Quinn and even MM may be able to coach him up and work on that.
Diggs has a lot of drops as a rookie also. So I'm not worried about the drops right now. Fat is more than likely concentrating on not making a mistake, rather than making a splash play.
Since it’s coming from Broaddus it’s safe to assume he won’t be active for the game…
Solid tackler and that combined with his speed will help against the 49ers run game.
Brian is just saying what he would do. I doubt the Cowboys change the lineup that got them where they are.
I’m not sure I want the coaches tinkering with the lineup during the playoffs.
It took awhile, but Joseph is starting to look like that 2nd rd pick we all expected. Diggs/Joseph next season should be a good tandem, especially both are still ascending players.
He has to. Hes the best tackling corner we have
Hes the only tackling corner we have lol. All kidding aside. He has the physical tools to be the best corner on this team.
He should have received more playing time about ten games ago. A couple series each game.
I really like Jourdon Lewis but feel like he's the odd man out here. Diggs is obviously a full time starter and regardless of what people say, Brown has had a fantastic year and earned his spot as well. Lewis is a nice player, good tackler and makes great plays, but putting Brown in the slot and letting Bossman own the sideline is just too good a secondary to pass up.
KJ is better tackling CB so its not surprise in this matchup he will come up and hit the ball carrier. Hes also fast, this defense is fast, just play under control, have to breakdown and stay in front of that run game. This is the playoffs you use every player for situational ball there is no next game. Makes sense.
