They looked at Shazier last year...I think he would have been a surprise to most (not all of course) but I think most thought they would go Dline or Oline and they almost took Shazier.

Now they have taken notice of Kendricks and we find out they went to TCU pro day to look at Paul. I will be curious to see how many other ILB or LBs in general they have come in for a visit or look at in pro days.

I don't know that Kendricks falls to us but he might be the pick if he does.
I don't think we would take Paul in the first round but I could be wrong.

I also have to see if they bring in many 1st or 2nd Round slotted CBs.

To me the most players of one position they have brought in seems to be RBs.

I think at the very least it should give us an idea of who they hope to get in the first even if some of the players they like go off the board like last year.

Is he rated #1 at his position? If so, a good chance since the Cowboys trend lately has been to take the #1 player at their position.

I like Anthony and Kendricks both.

A bit off-topic, but....

My fear is that Gurley, Gordon, Kevin Johnson and Kendricks will all be gone by #27. In that scenario, how would you feel about Stephone Anthony and Quinten Rollins/Byron Jones/Tevin Coleman in the second, plus an extra third-rounder for the trade down? First two days could look like this:

2. Stephone Anthony (ILB)
2. Tevin Coleman (RB)
3. Tyler Lockett (WR/KR)
3. Grady Jarrett (DT)

Never seen Coleman play, except for highlight vids, but his production behind a supposedly sub-par OL is amazing.

I tried to imagine who would be BPA in the early and mid-late parts of the second and third rounds and pick players from that. Other guys in the third could be Ali Marpet, Alex Carter, Josh Shaw and Doran Grant. I like the idea of Jeremiah Poutasi in the 4th.

I don't think you would get many complaining with a haul of Anthony and Coleman...sure you will always have some who complain but I think for the most part it would be hard to complain about those two players.

I guess the question is, would you prefer Kendricks/Coleman/Jarrett or Anthony/Coleman/Marpet/Jarrett?

Unless Gurley falls (or someone else we can't turn down) trading down looks like the way to go, IMHO.

When watching Stephone Anthony, I couldn't get over how consistently clean his paths to the ball were. That's something you make a note of and check out later. When it was time to watch the defensive tackles, Jarrett stood out as the reason for all those clean paths to the football for the middle linebacker. He's able to eat blocks but has the quickness to penetrate and give chase

Sounds like a plan to me.

that would be a great draft. If Gurley, Gordon etc go before #27, what prospects drop to 27?
