Kenneth Murray - Oklahoma

At least one of those guys will fall...I just wonder do the Cowboys stick to their board and get one of them or they go for need? Kinlaw and Chaisson are the ones I can seen going before.I think Mckinney, Henderson and Delpit will be there based on the mocks I've looked at.

Hmmm......Remember Kinlaw didn't work out at combines and now with CV-19, teams won't get a chance to exam his knee up close with their own Dr. Hell Chaisson didn't work out either waiting his pro day which of course won't happen now. My point, with everything going on, it's tricky trying to get hard feel/grade where some these kids are going to fall.

I wondered would anyone's stock in that top 15 be effected because of CV-19 and lack of workouts. I Don't think Chaisson would be one but it would benefit us if he is. The Falcons in front of us is the team that scares me. Just like that year they got Takk McKinely before us........I Feel like we have similar needs and wants and they are right there in front of us.

It's hard to say coz like I said in another thread, this is going to a weird draft. MMQB just posted an article on how NFL people are scrambling to get more info/intel on prospects coz the Combine is all they have. As for OP question, probably not at 17 but a trade down to the bottom of the first, maybe.
They still have a ton of game film, and personal interviews can be held remotely, so they do have more than the combine. It would be nice to have players come in for a personal meeting or workout, but it's not uncommon to hear about players being shocked at who drafted them because the team never contacted them in advance to express interest, or invited them to a personal meeting.

CeeDee lamb or Ruggs III will be hard to pass on if Kinlaw and CJ Henderson are gone and one of those WRs are available. Jerry likes seeing a high powered big time scoring offense & those guys would open this offense up like never before.

Hopefully the offense is a lot more reliable than last year. Theres other positions that are more important but theyll do what they do in the draft.

To me it would be a signal that a 3-4 might be prominent. His best use isn’t as a Mike. He would make a better will but he is an absolute star playing at the LOS.

OU played a ton of 46 defense( especially against 3-4 wide) and walked the Mike up as the strong side edge guy. He was unblockable at that. Really good rusher, explosive on twists and stunts.

If Lawrence was the stand up rusher, Murray would make an excellent Kyle Van Noy type player.

Oh I agree but it's the little things with some prospects. Here, this will give you bit of an idea.....

Not at all, especially if we dont get lucky and have someone unexpected fall.

Definitely a better pick than Henderson or Ruggs.

I'm 50/50 on Chiasson vs him, only because pass rush is so vital.

This team needs a LB, and Murray is the best one in this draft IMO.

Yet many are very high on a CB that refuses to tackle at all.

It's to where I'm really hoping Henderson is gone by 17.
Totally agree. I've been saying the same about staying away from Henderson as well. Them red flags are there.

I’d be disappointed in the sense it probably means LVEs future doesn’t look good.

Also don’t like Murray in the top 20. Scouting reports knock his instincts.

Love the picks you listed those would be my first choices, for this LB like you stated a trade back maybe but not at 17.
I agree too. Other than Simmons I don't see a LB with of top 20. Still believe we can get like a Willie Gay in the 5th or so to help. I think DL and secondary are most important and than look into next year if LB needs to be addressed.

Kinlaw most likely is lowest chance of getting followed by Henderson. Atlanta needs CB and pick at 16 before Dallas, Detroit needs CB as well. Both safeties will be there without a doubt but I could see Chaisson be at 17 because of QBs, OTs and WRs will push him down not even including Brown.

So looking at 4 QBs, 4 OTs possibly, Young, Brown, Okudah, Kinlaw, Simmons and possibly 2-3 WRs. So that's aimed 14-15 players right there.

Would love the pick. If they play a 4-2 then player 7 or 8 could be a LB/safety/DB..... personally I want more LBs on the field who can run and tackle plus fast enough to cover. All of Lee, Smith and LVE are injured so it’s a need and Lbs are hard to find.

I don't know that the scene described can't still happen to a large degree, although admittedly it's easier if all the scouts and coaches are in the same room. But video conferencing can at least simulate it, and the film that would have been shown with all of them together in the room can still be shown and explained and discussed.
