Keyshawn confronts Theismann about `idiot' remark.

It took nearly three years, but Keyshawn Johnson got a heavy weight off his chest before Monday night's game with Tampa Bay. Johnson said he had a long-awaited conversation with ESPN commentator Joe Theismann in a television production meeting, according to the CHARLOTTE OBSERVER.

"The guy called me an idiot a couple of years ago when I was de-activated in Tampa," Johnson said. "I just told him that's not acceptable. I'm a guy with a degree from the University of Southern California. Idiots don't get degrees. Especially when you don't know what transpired within the organization, I'd just assume you would keep your mouth shut, because the next time that I'm an idiot on national television, I'm not going to be so nice. That was pretty much the conversation."

Johnson said he told Theismann his problems in Tampa weren't solely his fault. Johnson had a well-publicized feud with coach Jon Gruden that led to his de-activation and his eventual trade to Dallas.​

Theisman is the true idiot. Joe Theisman calling Keyshawn Johnson an idiot is the equivalent of the time I worked at the Special Olympics and one of the athletes called another one ********. It just isn't logical for Theisman to say as much.

I forget who it was that got popped for drugs but Theisman really went off on what an idiot that guy was. Called him a disgrace, etc. There was a thread on it here. It had one of the all time great slap responses to Theisman in it.

I caught KJ on Fox Best Sports Show ever. His seg with Gaptooth and they were discussing his little dance on Steve Young. I thought that too was interesting. I didn't realize there was bad blood between Young and KJ but it was kinda funny to see. Still, probably could have been handled a bit better but then again, I'm sure there's more to the story.

Keyshawn was a good Cowboy, but sometimes he can have a bad attitude. Announcers blab stupid stuff all the time, especially Theisman. Players need to have thicker skin.

Yes... he left his first wife and three children so he could do the horizontal mambo with Cathy Lee Crosby of "That's Incredible" fame. When he broke up with her after several years, he sued her for half her net worth, leaving her financially ruined.

I think he remarried after that, but not sure if it stuck...
