Keyshawn maybe gonna be cut?

Cold Pizza just had a guy on saying because the Cowboys can save 1.5 mil on the cap Key may be cut. Possible he would be resigned at a lower contract or sign else ware as a FA.

Hope he is still a Cowboy next year!

Yeah and you know so much. This guy has been instrumental in helping this team move the chains. Did you watch any games? He blocks and cathches everything thrown to him (not his feet).

I don't like his poor route running and poor effort on routes, which only occurs sometimes, but I definitely don't think this team would be better without him, unless the FO has something cooking we don't know about.

If he only counts 1.5 against the cap we would be crazy to cut him. He does move the chains, and blocks downfield. I would like to see them use him more on 3rd and 5-7 on quick slants like Troy and 88 back in the day. No way you can stop a quick slant with a guy that is as big as Key without interfierence.

Unless we have someone else ready to come in (please not Owens!) then it would be foolish to simply cut Keyshawn for cap room. Key, Glenn, and Crayton give us a nice trio of WRs to go along with Witten.

Never believe any rumors from Cold Pizza, particularly about the Cowboys. Skip Brainless hates the Boys and knows nothing about football. Woody Paige has a little more insight but doesn't follow the Cowboys so he doesn't know much about them either.

Lastly, any rumor regarding the Cowboys should automatically be discounted because Parcells tells NOBODY what he is going to do before he does it. I don't even know if Jerry Jones knows what Bill is planning with regards to players since he is famous for his big mouth and wanting the attention.

This started IMO because of the Keyshawn spot with Laufenberg last night on the late news. Babe and Key were joking around about him not coming back next year...none of it sounded serious to me. Now someone has picked up on that and the inevitable rumors have started to pour out.

You know, I've watched every game at least twice and I just don't see this. He puts in effort in every route even if he is the last read. Not to mention is blocking.

Oh I agree with you on Skip B., but the 2 of them didn't say this, it was from someone else they were talking to. Sorry I didn't catch his name. He did say this is bigger or more serious than most people think.

Cold Pizza is stupid -- does anyone honestly think that Key isn't earning every penny of that? I didn't like Key at first -- I thought he was all talk. But over the past two years he has totally turned me around.

Seriously folks, we have in Key a warrior who will do anything for the team. He's a must keep guy.

I'm no Key fan, but we have a great deal in him for the money.

His catches, his yards, his TDs, and just as importantly his blocking, not only in the secondary, but blocking LBs and DL on some plays??? He's a steal for his salary.

If we cut him, it won't be to save the money...it'll be because he thinks he deserves a huge raise, and we may not be willing to give it to him.

Loved Key's strong passion for the game & his willingness help wherever possible. He's still a good WR although doesn't get separation & YAC isn't good. But Cowboys won't cut him to save money but might to give Crayton more playing time and bring in young, quality WR (Derek Hagen) to develop & help Glenn stretch the field. I do think Crayton must get more paying time & with Key still here/playing well, Parcells will continue us Crayton too much on ST. Also think we must add a young quality WR this year who can Glenn stretch the field. If we don't add good WR this year, we will be held hostage should Glenn get hurt. Unless Key accepts less of a role, he could get cut this year rather then 07.
