Pros: Despite missing three starts, Romo threw 26 touchdown passes in 2008. The Cowboys have a lot of talent at the skill positions, and Romo is capable of making plays on the move when plays break down. Defenders are forced to respect the rushing attack. Romo is just one year removed from a 4,211-yard, 36-touchdown season. In 2008, the Eastern Illinois product threw three touchdowns in six separate games and reached the 300-yard plateau as many times. Romo was sacked just 20 times last season.

Cons: Due to the success of Dallas' running backs in 2008, it is believed the Cowboys could emphasize the ground game more in 2009. Romo lost one of his main targets in wide receiver Terrell Owens during the offseason, and plenty of question marks surround new No. 1 wideout Roy Williams. Romo has notoriously struggled during the last two years in December, fantasy playoff time.

Fantasy tip: Fantasy owners must realize that Romo is a risk-reward quarterback for the upcoming season. The reward is that his upside is tremendous being in a talented offense with a pass-happy approach. His downside is nearly equal to his upside, so drafting Romo could leave you high and dry when it counts. Pair him with a reliable backup. If all works out, Romo can top 30 touchdowns and 4,000 yards, which would make him a steal in the fifth round based on his ADP.

It's an accurate analysis and sounds about right to me. I have him #4 on my QB fantasy draft board.

......I'd draft Romo a lot higher than my 5th pick. Call me a homer.

Downside nearly equal to upside?
Fifth round?!
These comments are completely moronic.
