Kick Off Specialist

why is everybody ranting about BP drafting a kick-off specialist, do you really think he is going to be stupid enough to WASTE a roster spot just for a damn kick-off specialist? we have so many other positions we'd rather have active than a guy who is going to come in the game for something completely unnecissary (have mcbriar do it if your so worried about vanderjagt getting hurt).

I think you've missed the point...the coach in Indy has repeatedly said that Vandy can't kick off...he's not capable, doesn't have the leg.

I believe JJ even admitted once that we'll probably need a kickoff specialist, but that it won't be McBriar because he's never kicked a ball in his life, strictly a punter.

Thus, you can bet we will have a kickoff specialist...I happen to think a big leg kickoff guy who just isn't accurate enough for FG's is very much worth his roster spot since he can put the ball into the endzone or close to the end line repeatedly...that seems to me a pretty good deal as compared to carrying another kickoff coverage guy.

Anything other then the 2 kickers on your squad is a waste, all its gonna take is to have one serious injury and you could thin out a position for a game.
