If you had to decide right now who would you pick?

I must admit I am pulling for Folk. It would be nice to grab a young guy and keep him for a long time. Grammy is really got some pop on the ball though.

I vote Folk.

After hitting that 52-yarder straight through, I'm okay on Folk. That kick alone earned him the spot, I think. Whether we keep Gramatica on should be the bigger question.

I'll wait till the last two August games are through to make a final decision one way or the other, but I have a feeling Folk is going to be the guy this year. And I think he'll do just fine.

I was pulling for Folk at the beginning of TC and tonight's effort sealed it for me. He does have stronger leg than Grammica and I think he'll get the job

Mar-teen is actually surprising me with his kickoffs. I think Dallas goes with two kickers until Folk picks it up on kickoffs and distances himself from the veteran - which might take half a season.

At this moment I'd go with Folk if it were my choice. I think he could be a long term solution for us and we haven't had that since Septien. For this year Gramatica might actually be better (who is to say?) but he is a short term solution (a year or two at most). If Folk keeps producing like he has been he could solve our kicking problem for years to come and I find that possibility very appealing.

I like Folk, but Martin has been pretty impressive this summer... it's astonishing how much better he's gotten on kickoffs...

But ain't it nice to have a controversy because we have two good kickers, rather than having one because we don't have any??

I think I roll with Folk, because of age, draft pick invested, and the fact he has been hitting everything from all distances in camp missing only 1 FG since he was drafted I believe

Martin has been impressive on kickoffs....never did I think that he would be putting the ball 5 yards deep into the end-zone.

If i was forced to choose between the two I would choose Folk just because hes younger and has been pretty much flawless all TC and PS. Its so close though that Im glad we have more games to help decide who really is better.

you can't afford two. I roll my dice on the kid. He just seems to have "it", and as good as Gramatica is, he is still a bit yippy here and again. the Pats did it with Gostkowski, and I think Folk is cut in the same mold. He seems to be smooth and consistent and gets the ball up in a hurry.

There was an article or blog a few days ago that said whereas Grammatica's kickoffs have been as deep as Folk's they do not have the same hang time. Hang time means coverage.

I say trade Gram for a 6th round draft pick, keep the least-expensive kid and get on with the future.

they are longer by about 2-3 yards but they are done with a driver and not the pitching wedge

Hard to say right now. Folk's 52 yarder was nice but Billy Cundiff made a few from 50 in his day and but I wouldn't trust that guy to hit a 30 yarder with the game on the line. I'd like to see how Folk does under pressure before giving him the job.
