1. Bring in a kicking coach.
2. Bring in the sports science crew for a step by step break-down.
3.Hypnotize him and convince him he is the best.
4. Teach him a new way to kick( Tom Dempsey,George Blanda)just keep his head down and boot it.
5.Put in a call to Lucas and see if we can borrow Obi-1 to teach him to "Use the force Nick". Don't laugh, it works on photon torpedos.
6.Depolarize the goal posts. After watching his practice tape where he went wide right and then wide left,I'm convinced the posts are repeling the ball like magnets do when same poles are pushed towards each other.
7.Hang a bulls eye on the net to give him something to shoot at ,or focus on instead of open space.
Someone said kickers are a dime a dozen but we have few options, also most seem to like Nick,so work with him.
Don't give him a bag of balls and tell him to go practice.
Thats like me getting a bucket of balls and practicing my drives with no teacher to help me. Just mho.:

I like 4). Yes, if there's anything we need right now, it's for our kicker to start kicking like George Blanda. :)

I always said the we should have kept Dehaven here....the kicking game is too important a part of football....especially if you aren't blowing teams out on a weekly basis....

It would be worth whatever for three or more weeks left to get him back. Our situation is bad as it can get.

Better give steve kaufman (was that our old kicking coach's name??). He turned out kickers pretty reliably for years. Kickers have about a 3 year shelf life on average before they get the yips and have to change teams.

Bruce DeHaven was the one that we had for a long time....I think he is with Seattle right now...not sure....
