I know we are all ready to jump all over the "send Skyler to the street" wagon, but i have noticed something while watching the indy/ne game, and most other games.
I admit that Skyler was unimpressive, and looked slow, but a lot of people had bad things to say about Thompson's returns as well.
From watching these other games, i think the problem is more in the coaching of the special teams and the formations our players have been taught.
Almost every other team occasionally breaks a return into the opponents territory, or at least close to midfield. How many times have we done that, like twice in the last 2 seasons??
Something tells me that if we had better schemes we might have more success, but then again i am not expert so i may just be looking to bail our guys out.
