Kim Shattuck of the Muffs dead at 56

Man, I am BUMMED about this. I just found out. This so sucks. I've followed the Muffs for years, though I never saw them in concert. I thought I would, but it's not meant to be. RIP, Kim Shattuck. She'll be missed.

I found an interview with Kim Shattuck. It's a really interesting read especially if you're interested in music and how it gets written. If you want to do songwriting, it may even help. It was hard to find this because when you google her name plain, you get all the obituaries. I found this by googling with filters to dodge all the obits, which I've already read.
