and a loud mouth like Ryan. Sorry to say, but it seemed like the Jets were just a little better prepared and ready to play. San Diego has seen this before, but.....man that was a tough loss. The Chargers were better IMO, but they hadn't lost in about two months and just didn't play well. Should be interesting to see how loudmouth/attention ***** Ryan does against the Colts the second time around. My educated guess is the Jets get rolled by twenty minimum, unless Manning gets hurt.....

Ryan, like his father, will get rolled next week by the Colts. I will root for any team but the Vikings...I am all over the Saints next week...I will not be able to stomach the Diva winning another Championship...

the problem with the chargers was kaeding (sp?). his misses really hurt them. it kept the game closer than it should have been in the first half as well.

i guess it's one of those freak things. he was excellent in the regular season.

nothing norv can really do about that. it's not like he was kicking badly during the regular season and had to be cut.

Regardless of Ryan's heritage, and who his father is, you have to give him props for taking a very "weak" Jets team to the AFC-CG. That's no joke. He did it in his first year as HC ... with a rookie QB.

And you could argue he -- his defense, at least -- was the reason another rookie QB (Flacco) got to the AFCCG last year.

This just pisses me off more I wanted Jerry to hire Ryan or Ron Rivera when he was chasing Wade :ralph::ralph::ralph:

i dont, i like ryan as a head coach , and i think he is an up and coming head coach. You have so many years as a head coach to prove that your NFL Championship Head Coach material. Norv has had more than what 4 years as head coach with san diego now. He has had time. Look at what ryan has done his first year with the jets.

Bottom line, its always about winning in the playoffs, not how good of regular season games you win,, but what you do in the playoffs.

I do think at the same time, and i have mentioned it several times this year after midseason, that thiis team reminds me of the 91 dallas cowboys.

After jerry jones saw what he needed, jerry jones made some trades with jimmy johnson and got charles haley and thomas everett with a very good draft. Thats what this team needs to do this year and in the offseason.

Then, let the chips fall where they may.

Yep ... he's turned coal into diamonds.

I'm not deitizing him, but man, he's done more in one year, with less talent, than we've done in ages.

Someone else did that last year.. his name was Harbaugh and his QB was Flacco. Let's see what happens next year and beyond.

Good point about Kaeding 'Woods'.....the guy looked just as scared today as Suisham did. His body language was similar to Shaun's, and as I recall he's done this in the playoffs before: in his rookie year I believe and they stuck with him thinking it was rookie yips: wrong. He just chokes, especially considering he's an "all pro" kicker. What a joke. I feel for Norv and the Bolts because they know how to beat the Colts and have proven it, but their scrawny, worthless kicker just gagged today against an inferior team. Sucks to be them tonight for sure.....

You know, that's interesting Woods. I think they should, but on the other hand....they might really think they've hit the wall and need to hire someone with "fire" to put them over the top. I'd keep him, because if Kaeding does his job, we aren't even having this discussion but as I said...they've gone through this with Norv in San Diego before. I'd be nervous if I was him.....

I agree. Anything that comes from "Fat-***" Buddy Ryan is just scum. I will definitely be rooting for Indy.

Glad to see the J-E-T-S win today. Take that Rivers for talking smack after beating the 'boys. I know this would never happen - but wouldn't it be something if the Jets and Vikings end up in the Super Bowl. Jets could bring it to Favre for what he did to them. Sanchez might not be a quality QB, but at least he is playing in the championship game.
