You got the Dak part right.
:flagwave:
Thats all that really matters:thumbup:

You may wish look at the history of NFL rookie QBs though, if you think Wentz' year was one of the worst ever.
Not even remotely close.
In fact, I bet it was better than 80% of rookie QB throught history...maybe more.
Maybe one of our stats guys has it handy

Its just that Dak's was better than ALL other rookies:yourock:

Disagree on Wentz. He has accumulated stat because he played so much. However the quality of that play was really bad. Just a few week or so ago some site compiled the numbers and had Wentz in the bottom 10.

I'm still surprised that reporters from both the Giants and Commanders agreed that Dak & the Cowboys are better-suited for long term success.

Even though I think all of us here can agree on that, the national narrative still seems to be that Wentz is a better QB than Dak. I think purely thanks to draft position, Wentz gets the Andrew Luck treatment of overestimation.
In all honestly, I am seeing far more praise for Dak than I am Wentz.....and deservedly so.....

Same here, Sarge. Even reading Eagles boards and r/NFL, they're tempering expectations, now. They realize that he's their only hope for the time being, and if they missed on the pick, it'll set them back several more years.

What went from joyful glee through week 4 of last year has developed into a somber realization that they may be staring down the barrel of a .44, spelled "bust"

Why would someone ask that question?

Are the Rams the best positioned team in their conference because of Goff?

Wentz was very average at best for a rookie. He may be great but there is no way he has proven he is worthy of the second pick nor should he even be in the same sentence as Prescott right now.

Seriously.

What a truly dumb question to even ask. Shown to be so by the fact that everyone expressing their opinion clearly told him so.

Leave it to the Eagles writer.

What is Carson Wentz's 'presence?' The presence to not be able to throw downfield accurately? The presence to not anticipate well? The presence to have a terrible throwing motion that delays throws and cause poor ball location?

YR

Don't forget the presence to throw a 100 mph pass to a WR who isn't even off the line of scrimmage and then look away while the fans and media blame the receivers sudden and overnight inability to catch passes.

Wentz may turn into a very good QB someday. Today he looks more like Ryan Tannehill or Blake Bortels than one of the elite QB's.

Ex- freaking -Actly. I've posted on a Rams message board. They say Dak is NOTHING without an offensive line, and if you put Goff in instead of Dak, he'd be better. NOPE. You're #1 overall QB pick just isn't as good as ours, sorry. We got lucky, yes, but the hate over there is funny. They find ANY way possible to discredit Dak.

Oh, did you guys know that Dak is the ONLY QB that benefits from a good O-Line?:rolleyes:

If Dak is only good because of his o-line then why wasn't that the case with Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel? People always try to find ways to discredit Dak rookie success.

Andrew Luck is going to be eternally overrated. He's shown me nothing to suggest that he can be a championship QB. Too reckless, and makes too many mistakes. Give me Dak any day!
