And I think Tex would agree that the Cowboys shouldn't get special treatment because of it.

I disagree. Tex wanted everything he could get for the Cowboys. If it meant getting 10 more business cards than the rest of the league, he would do it and cut somebody's throat to get it and never apologize for it.

He would likely realize now that getting more for the league is the way you get more for the team -- he'd be open to anything if your characterization is correct

There's a reason why many people in the league said sarcastically that Rozelle continued to work for Schramm (as he did with the Rams) all those years.

It isn't unfair. It is a simple fact that more people want to see Dallas.

I don't think it really evens out because Dallas always has that homegame on TX.

You think Commander fans, Giant fans, eagle fans want to see Dallas every TG? lol

And, on you second sentence, whoever plays on a not TG day on Thursday play at home also, whoever it might be.

So, I don't understand your logic.

From an exposure standpoint you can bet an exciting team like the Seahawks might disagree -- they would likely benefit from the sort of regular exposure that Dallas enjoys on Thanksgiving. You forget that the TX games get watched by many who don't regularly watch the game.

Bro, the Seahawks have been irrelevant for the better part of their History. Do they even have a SB? I really don't know.
And, the Lions have been miserable for most of their existence, and they have not won a SB? So, it kind of evens out.

A tradition is a tradition, it's been that way for years, so why change it now?

Should we change Mother's Day to another day? How about changing Valentine's Day? lol

I know, those are bad analogy's, but football tradition has been the Cowboys and Lions every Thanksgiving. It will never be changed. (well I should never say never).

And for the people that don't watch football but only on Turkey Day? They don't really give a crap in the first place and all they do is just disrupt my watching the games. lol

Don't side with ***** King....he is the worst media reporter on football that I have ever seen. He Hates the Cowboys with a passion, and I know you don't.

Why don't you know these things about the 'hawks? Could it be that they haven't been on TV every Thanksgiving?

If there was an advantage it is gone since the NFL has games that start on thursday in later part of the season. Personally I think the Thursday Night opener the NFL has is huge advantage for both teams, essentially they get preseason to gear up for Thursday night and 4 days of rest for their second opponent.

12. Dallas (7-5). For years, some in the league have grumbled that the Cowboys have an unfair advantage by playing on Thanksgiving at home every year. That’s true; playing at home in an exceedingly short week when the other team always travels is a big edge, as is what Dallas has now: the ability to give its players four full days off, plus an extra day before playing a Monday-nighter next week at Chicago.

WE took the Thanksgiving game when no one else wanted it. Deal with it. Oh by the way, there is a Thursday night game each week this season.

I didn't realize that we had 9 home games or that our record demonstrated that we're really taking it to the nfl...

Cowboys are a ratings cash cow for the NFL. Only right that we get play at home on that day.
